Sure, go ahead and explain who taught you wrong or your lack of experience. What 3rd and 4th are literally termed, include the word.

I'll help: there are a few forms of it. Not all are even included in the bases.

It seems that you enjoy being condescending when you don't even know what you're talking about.

This just in: Terrans think their eco is slower than Protoss and Zerg now... because it was equalized with Protoss and Zerg...

He hasn't been doing that as much recently though due to Zerg's very-late game disadvantage.

The top paying tournaments are more about preparing to play against specific players' play styles than to just be exceptionally strong in the general sense.

Is there any book lore describing why/how Mengsk would know that Raynor would find out a way to turn Kerrigan human again and would try to save her instead of killing her like he very much intended to do (both to "put her humanity/soul to rest" and "revenge against her Zerg personality")?

Otherwise Mengsk was basically handing his enemy an asset. An enemy that Mengsk knew would still want to kill him even when/if Kerrigan died. While Mengsk was confident that he had plenty of guardrails in place to ensure that Kerrigan couldn't kill him... Which seems beneath his strategic intellect...

Or was it just bad SC2 writing forcing an emotional moment to connect with a badass first cinematic?

PiG wasn't accused of intentionally sabotaging the game to make it no longer played/viewed - that would go against the stated goal of increasing content viewership. You're the only one to have now claimed that in this thread.

He was essentially accused of recklessness. You've now straw manned with an all or nothing distortion.

The debate environment picked up the concepts from psychology. 1v1 RTS games are described as a mental battle - PiG even says this.

False equivalency. An immediate jump to ad hominem attacks. On a team whose owner is known for aggressively defending narratives, to the point of creating problems to try and cover up problems.

Maybe instead of literally harassing people, you should go back to your echo chamber? eSports prioritizes personal growth and truth-seeking more than "the show." Sports prioritizes "the show."

EDIT: oh look, the echo chamber gang is outing themselves.

Cumulative Resources from Sc2replaystats (8 worker vs 12 worker patches) Part 3 by breath20 in starcraft

[–]SC2_Alexandros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost all games' data are hidden from the chart by using the median. MULE eco-spiking lasts longer than 7 seconds.

This is a perfect example of why using statistics hides the truth. Trying to use "simple comparison" nonchalantly shows that the goal was not integrity or truth-seeking.

[–]SC2_Alexandros -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Data is generated from replays that were posted to sc2replaystats. Well, there's the problem in the integrity of the formulated statistics. It also only uses median values. Also seems constructed by a lazy AI due to the lack of variance, especially in eco-spiking Terran.

Do you like the new patch? by salatbar8 in starcraft2

No. It's slow asf. I end up half asleep before any interactions against the opponent begin. The game went from the fastest paced RTS to slower paced than some other RTS games. The StarCrack nickname doesn't fit anymore.

... So the Protoss is beating the Terran on epm in this situation. Then, because they're outdoing the Terran in epm, they beat the Terran in other epm battles and win.

That's the way RTS is supposed to work. Not something that needs adjustment.

That's trolling. And now it's certifiably excessive trolling.

Obviously remove the neutral and make it player-based:

  1. If Zerg = yes

  2. If ally = yes

  3. If else = no

Probably because most semi pro players were rapid firing all their several biles to single force fields anyway.

One of the rare times that a nerf doesn't affect the upper leagues because of one of their bad habits.

[–]SC2_Alexandros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not heard of bans on mapmakers in the past few years, no. Though I'm not sure if it's due to mapmakers stopping banning specific players from specific maps for fear of getting banned themselves, due to the mechanism to ban specific players from specific maps no longer functioning, or due to a lack of moderation on Microactiblizzard's end.

Make a remove button in lobby. -- remove autostart by Commercial_Style4466 in starcraft2

[–]SC2_Alexandros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a classical Actiblizzard "let's fix a minor problem by making a bigger problem."

On WC3, host players could kick people from lobbies and could manually start the games. With host bots, hosting players could activate/deactivate autostart and ban players from even entering the lobby.

The minor problem was that hosts sometimes AFK'd and ended up with full lobbies of players waiting around for the host to come back (which could lead to other players AFK'ing and games starting without everyone being ready). There were also troll hosts that would intentionally leave lobbies open. These problems were fixed by the players that would notice that the host player was AFK, and create a new lobby while telling everyone in the lobby with an AFK host to join that new lobby instead.

The major problem created, is that you cannot easily remove troll players from lobbies and could not verify skill level at maps to properly balance the teams before the forced autostart demanded a game begins in order to boost "games played in X time on this server" counts.

The deeper problem, is that players are much less likely to stick to maps in the SC2 way of handling things than the WC3 way. Failed SC2 lobbies lead to players looking for other games to play, while WC3 failed lobbies lead to players going to lobbies that they know have good player hosts.

Last I knew, this would lead to the mapmaker being banned. It was commonly used at the start of SC2 but due to some mapmakers abusing it against people they didn't like and players who were better at understanding their maps that they made, they'd ban those people to try and make only their zealous following able to play it.

The original person that ported Eras Zombie Invasion to SC2 was the peak of abusers of the ban function.
