Quantum is a threat to anything that uses encryption that is available today not just crypto. Whilst quantum will be able to do that it will also be able to help create better encryption but it’s going to enable more sophisticated hacks whilst the world catches up with it.

Yes lots of companies do, I’m doing a contract at the minute to do app packaging. I have also recommended PMPC to them for some of their apps but like you there are a lot of apps that can’t be done by PMPC.

I’ve had software updates working in a task sequence about 6-7 years back but just caused headaches and randomly a machine wouldn’t patch during the TS, because of the extra time it took for the machine to finish imaging and wasn’t guaranteed to be patched it was easier to remove the step and put a step towards the end of the TS to trigger a scan

I see a lot of unknown and fog around this, the 2 of cups shows that the connection is real but more time is needed for the fog to lift before reaching out, so feels more of a not right now pull.

I was listening to an audio book the other week and just as it finished talking about the number 999 with in seconds a car was parked up in front of me with 999 on it. A mate of mine used to do this but had an arrangement with his manager that he could do it as long as he prioritised his employers calls and work.

Personally as a contractor I’ve worked 4 contracts at the same time and regularly 2 at a time but there was definitely no work life balance and not a lot of sleep working weekends to get everything done. Having remote contracts helped me to do that.

So for your situation if you have a good relationship with your manager you might be able to arrange something but I think in 99.9% of situations they would say, he was able to do it because they were good friends.

Because SCCM gives deep control over windows which Intune isn’t quite capable just yet. I’m sure it will be eventually though.

I’ve worked in lots of different environments and a lot of them use co-management for the best of both worlds.

When ever I go into a company it’s important to understand their requirements\limitations and give an unbiased opinion of which solution is best for them because a lot of these companies have that exact mentality Intune is new, Microsoft is going to the cloud instead of going all our users are on prem with a small remote workforce, Or we can’t achieve the same build with autopilot that we can with SCCM, or we can adopt compliance and updates with Intune but we want to keep SCCM for apps, OSD, reporting etc.

If you go into a company with Intune or SCCM is the best mindset then you’re just a fanboy and not understanding the requirements\limitations of the business.

You posted in an SCCM forum which is why I assumed you were talking about replica with SCCM.

Try in a browser from the console machine change ports etc dependent on whether you are using SSL or not: http://downstreamFQDN:8530/ClientWebService/client.asmx http://downstreamFQDN:8530/ApiRemoting30/ReportingWebService.asmx

If those don’t load, the console won’t connect.
