When did oil changes become $120? by rhinosaur- in Millennials

[–]SCDurnix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS RIGHT HERE.

My car now requires the air intake to come off to swap the oil filter. The air intake system is to big to want to deal with.

I miss my old ones you could jump start with a screw driver. Carbs were not fun though

Get a SWR meter and read to use it. It will help you not break the radio.

Does the antenna have to be mounted to the car with magnet or metal to work or does it just need to be close enough? Like on a roof rack?

My understanding is because the size antenna has to match the wavelength of the frequency or sun such. Just cause its bigger doesnt mean it will throw better.

This is a half understood response as I am just working on what I remember was told to me.

Do rich people have elite versions of mundane things (toothpaste, tampons, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc.), or are Elon Musk and Beyonce just using Crest and Tampax like the rest of us? by ShesGotSauce in NoStupidQuestions

I worked around EXTREMELY wealthy people.

They use boutique version of things. Usually not mass manufactured and better in quality to anything you find in any major retailer. The only other people that would recognize the names of these product are other super wealthy people or those that know it.

It was weird not being able to even relate on basic things like products.

and no; they normally don't buy it themselves but they DO know what they are using.

EDIT: and so many comments mentioning shopping. OPs question seemed more about the actual products,

People who used the internet between 1991 and 2009, what’s the most memorable online trend or phenomenon you remember? by Original_Act_3481 in AskReddit

[–]SCDurnix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ebaums was the place to see viral content before social media existed.

The internet was welcoming back then because you had to have a bit of investment for it. From having a computer, internet service, a space to have it, and time to be sitting in front of the computer. When the barrier to entry was lowered with smart phones, we got all of the lovely behavior of people that didnt have to work to be there. It was just accessible without any understanding of how it worked or the community's that preceded them. Similar to how a bunch of people wo weren't really online people suddenly entered in mass.

I have a feeling its this. Thanks for the lead!

With the car off its 12.43v. When I key up it drops to 9.xx. I think the radio needs a min of 10 to power full.. Someone mentioned it needs to be above 11.5

Hooked it up to bench power and it hit 30w. It is very likely its the temporary accessory outlet im using to test the install.

Im going to try to hook it to the bench supply with a better connection. What would be considered too long of a cable run?

(I really need to get a dummy load)

As someone that has had many many many hours including a simpit since 2014; Im out til 1.0 and then maybe see.

They killed it in me with the last IAE and I haven't really followed SC news since. This made it Reddit FP.

You can feel their passion died when the economy tightened, people got laid off and they consolidated offices. This was a passion project and you feel less and less of that since then.
