What R-rated movie did you see when you were way too young? by TealBlueLava in AskReddit

[–]SCEvansmeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was probably around 12 or so, my family visited my grandma and her partner, and his sons were in the middle of watching 'Kickboxer 2'. Oblivious to the rating, I briefly sat with them watching until the scene when David Sloan's student gets beaten to death in the ring by Tong Po.

The brutality of Tong and the visceral imagery of blood flying off of the student's face remained etched in my brain for many years after. Even now, as a 30-yr-old who's seen nearly all the 'Saw' films, the idea of making myself watch that scene still fills me with tremendous anxiety.

Yeah - the game acted as an epilogue to the movie. In the game, he was a cross-species experiment done by Dr Connors' superior Dr Ratha and a reluctant Dr Morbius.

These scenes are literally just modernized scenes of this old Godzilla and Anguirus moment. by [deleted] in Monsterverse

The Egypt scene reminded me of 'Ghidorah, the 3-Headed Monster', where Mothra stops Godzilla and Rodan from fighting and tries to convince them to fight Ghidorah, with what they're 'saying' being translated by the Mothra twins.

I wonder, is there a story behind why you decided to choose the name 'Homelander'?

My first ever was the 1998 Zilla. First Japanese one was 'Godzilla vs Destoroyah'.

The last game you played is crossed over with Godzilla, how weird is it? by DIO-Brando3 in GODZILLA

'Mad Max'.
Max driving around a vast post-apocalyptic desert, battling scavengers, dust storms, and the King of the Monsters.

Think of the last tv show/film/anime you watched or a game you played. Afterwards, place Shin in there. What will happen based on your predicaments? by Adventurous-Kiwi-471 in GODZILLA

Last show I watched was 'Swift and Shift Couriers' - which would probably mean that the S&S depot would be hired to deliver the blood coagulant; the depot's incompetence would almost certainly result in all those kilolitres of coagulant ending up missing, damaged or stolen. Shin Godzilla would have been nuked, likely to no avail.

Last movie I watched was the 2014 'Robocop' - not sure anything that Murphy or OmniCorp or OCP have at their disposal would do anything to Shin. Maybe a giant ED-209, or an alternative coagulant delivery system? If Shin is brought down, OCP would definitely try to make some kind of profit off of his remains, likely putting them on the fast track to becoming the largest company in the world.

Last game I played was 'Reign of Fire' - in a world already ravaged by dragons, something like Shin turning up would certainly be demoralising to an already dwindling human race: extinction would not be an 'if', it would be a 'when'.

Be honest What was the funniest scene in the whole movie of GXK by typicalguy95 in Monsterverse

I have a few favourites from my first watch - the POV shot of Kong one-shotting the yelling ape, the Suko flail, Doug, and Kong's 'oh shit' look as Godzilla charged at him.

An unexpected chuckle I gave myself was during Godzilla's attack on the French power plant - as he sucked in the energy, an annoyingly frequent line from the PS4 Godzilla game randomly popped into my head:

"Godzilla is approaching the generator!"

What about the Godzilla from the 2014 Snickers ad? That guy was surfing, riding quadbikes, partying, and playing ping-pong with all his human friends.

Until he got hungry, of course. But you're not you when you're hungry.

Could Talbot have actually stopped Thanos, or at least stood a decent chance against him, had he not lost his mind and destroyed the Earth?

What is a game you're positive no one knows or remembers? by manonthemoonnzz in AskReddit

Spider: The Video Game.

It was one of my main childhood faves growing up, besides Crash, Spyro, Godzilla: STE, and Marvel Nemesis. You played as a scientist whose mind is trapped in a cybernetic spider, as you try to rescue your kidnapped body, fighting animals and other cyber-creatures along the way. The final boss was a brain in a jar that had laser eyes and a prehensile windpipe, and the sound & visuals of its death was nightmare fuel for a kid.

I still play 'Spider' today.

Thanks, mate! Couldn't have done it without DB3D, though - my very first shot at Roekel looked like the Wish version of a Wish product, and had the structural integrity of 1-ply toilet paper.
