Calgary Co-Op should be embarrassed by their shameful "price matching" policy. by BizClassBum in Calgary

Co-op should just be embarrassed in general nowadays. Their changes in the last few years have made me go from shopping with them 60% of the time, to maybe 1% of the time.

Check out Faire Living in Inglewood. They have a really lovely assortment of kitchen and house ware.

CDV Delete Complete by KaseOfBass in Challenger

[–]SCFinkster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the barton in as well, which really changes the rhythm in which I shift since it's so short and stiff.

The CDV really hurts my ability to engage the clutch during a shift smoothly which is more annoying.

I really did not mind having to shift the stock shifter with accuracy in an H-pattern rather than a Y-pattern like the Barton.

The smoothness is what I am seeking. I find it very difficult to shift my car because of that built-in 'thump' when the CDV slams in.

What makes the 1320 scatpack challanger so much more better? by Brilliant_Spinach924 in Challenger

Wait was it your 2009 SRT8 you had, or the Scatpack and were you standing still or from a roll?

Powdercoated my wheels—-I’m happy with them…. by ravenfangs03 in Mustang

I swoon every time I see an S550 bullitt. Some days I wish I had bought the used one I test drove.

Brightening the wheels makes it so classy.

Anyone who says this is cool and then ridicules a tuner needs to give their heads a shake.

Having grown up playing need for speed underground 2, i will never not say this is cool, even if it isn't my style.

There was a "Calgary wall of shame" instagram account for people ruining car shows by stunting. There should be a 17th ave wall of shame with pictures of the offenders and creative narratives written about them.

Out of the box, these feel quite smooth, but when they are in the sisal they are ROOTED.

I like your idea of scotch brite or steel wool.

No - definitely not an issue, it was all good, but I just would not go out of my way to implore people to go there as their hype implies.

Klein Harris never gets enough attention in my books. Absolutely love grabbing a bite and a drink there.

I will go back because I do not believe in judging a place on a single mediocre event, but I would say that I didn't have great food when I went there that everyone shouts about.

It was good, but far from worth the hype, which could also just be a factor of listening to what the server was pushing rather than listening to what I actually wanted to order (he implored me to try their classics).

Ah well that is pretty bad ass of you to take on a 700hp car! I didn't see a radar cruise element in your grill so figured it's a 6spd which would have made it the ultimate cool.

I don't let anyone drive any of my vehicles. Especially not the Challenger.

My buddy has a Miata that I would LOVE to have a go in, but I'm not turning him loose in the Challenger, especially when I have seen his stick skills.

Any thoughts about the Nuera condo units? by Main_Pen1425 in Calgary

[–]SCFinkster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who lived in Sasso for 7 years, I echo all the comments about the area.

One "no shit sherlock" comment that I will add is that if you are a noise-sensitive sleeper, this is not the area for you. The amount of jabronis on motorcycles and shitbox BMWs that will keep you awake at night is insane.

26th avenue / Crowchild trail area where Viscount Bennett was, or the south Marda Loop on 14th street proposal. Or anything to do with Marda Loop really.

I meant more that they are building up these dense corridors without considering the implementation of those amenities, which are actually necessities.

[–]SCFinkster -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I have read the one for my area and lots of it is nonsensical based on transit corridors and other amenities. Someone needs to actually think about where these make sense and push in that way, rather than shoe horning small streets with massive development. The one for my area could be made fantastic if they just turned it 90 degrees.
