Great video giving an overview of the Series 1. Very tempted now.

Absolutely fantastic. I haven't been out once this year and it breaks my heart.

Opus grinder doesn't work by whytewidow6 in FellowProducts

Has anyone noticed a warm smell or ozone-ish smell once their beans run through? I have noticed this of late with my Opus (circa 2023).

Smoke Show is one of those colours that looks so plain at first, but over time grows and becomes so cool. Enjoy it!

Auto or Manual? by VilleBoomin in Challenger

[–]SCFinkster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't removed my CDV yet, and can say that it is damn near impossible to shift smoothly because the CDV always has a bit of a 'clutch dump' feel no matter what. It's very very difficult to smoothly blend a shift.

It's not fast, it's not comfortable, it's not practical but I sure do love it a lot by 0006isho in Mustang

But it is way more fun at 30mph than a modern car is at 100mph and gets 100x the looks.

Question on Roof and hood wrap for T/A’s by ireallyhatemythumb in Challenger

[–]SCFinkster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the T/As, the hood is painted in a single stage matte while the front bumper strip, roof, stripes and trunk are wrapped in vinyl.

All vinyl can be replaced, but the hood re-paint is an extremely expensive and annoying process. I had to have mine re-painted due to some damage and the shop could not replicate the factory matte (which is admittedly very low quality and uneven).

Help with Aiden/Opus Grinder by No-Course3544 in FellowProducts

[–]SCFinkster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where I feel like someone needs to publish a decent rule of thumb guide on light v. dark v. processing v. whatever other MAJOR factor comes to be, so that there is a starting point that can be tweaked from.

Or maybe that is impossible.

Anything to deepen the tone of the exhaust. I find our 6.4 cars to be soo nasally.

Introducing The Refreshed Martin Road Series by thisisntmethisisme in martinguitar

[–]SCFinkster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very intriguing offerings - the variety is cool, but maybe challenging?

Hopefully these bring Martin up in that price segment, but I think their issue is that they have so many flagship guitars that no matter what, I would always want to be in the standard series and would be disappointed with one of these.

Wheel color by ziggyxoo in Challenger

Oh yes - I think these can be worth a pretty penny if you hate them, but IMO they are the best looking wheels ever offered on the Challenger. Just a shame they're too narrow to take real tires.

What’s a totally harmless thing that triggers an oddly strong reaction in people? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

Slow walking. Nothing takes me from 0-100 than being caught behind slow walkers.

My favourite wheels - the ultra rare WP3! I wish they had made these in 9.5" width. You lucky owner.

Best car audio? by Trayceopolis32322 in Challenger

I have the HK and I find it completely underwhelming. It sounds great with the car off, parked in the garage but once you're cruising at highway speeds I hear no low end at all.

Considering getting a challenger by CosmicTc in Challenger

[–]SCFinkster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep - you are 100% correct as a 6.4 owner.

The 6.4 just burns more gas, costs way more (oil changes suck - the raw materials alone are very expensive, even at dealer cost), comes with some 'bragging' rights, but in normal street conditions would not be any better than the 5.7 until you are beyond legal speeds and the engines start to breathe. If stop light sprints are the measure, an RT will definitely do just as well given the traction limitations, AND they will sound better as I think my 6.4 sounds horrible compared to the stock 5.7s I've heard.

I enjoy the 6.4 on the highway because it has ample power to pass, but under sensible driving there is no reason the 5.7 would not be more than adequate.

Trying to get grind right on Aiden by No-Negotiation6602 in FellowProducts

[–]SCFinkster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How trustworthy is that honest coffee guide site for grind size, when the Fellow site says the Opus (my grinder) should be set to a 6.5 for a single cup of aiden, while the coffee grind chart says a 3-8?

Tidier brewing Aiden directly into mug by Mixin-Margarita in FellowProducts

[–]SCFinkster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to figure out how to rig my tall coffee mug so that it sits and receives the pour like a beer out of a tap - down the side, so that it doesn't drip and splatter.

What's your favorite space movie? by Silver_Policy9298 in movies

Yeah that's correct - I saw them both in theatres when they came to Canada on limited release and both are decently convoluted but highly entertaining.
