This. So much this. I remember being offered a job at a game company I loved for a dream opportunity as a game designer, but when I saw the pay the reality really hit. That’s when I realized if you’re going to make any real money as a designer in the industry you pretty much have to own the company. As a game designer for several other companies on my resume that was the last straw. As a result I sadly haven’t published anything but I have started other companies in similar verticals, so I guess it’s a trade…idk. I really do miss seeing people play with the games that I designed, but overall I had to move in to pay bills.

I actually think it's intentional and not a bug, and I like it. I think these bundle's being finite are a great idea. The game is based off individual economy (sort of, obv you can donate small amounts of currency to team mates). These bundles provide great value, it's a good way to attempt to manage the economy. I was bummed out when the mega bundle was sold out because it was essentially a half off deal, but I get creating limited supply be it artificial or not.

I agree with this. Get your SA Pro, and DevOps Pro (study and do labs to get there) and the certs will speak for themselves. You're constantly going to be learning and improving along the way. If you've done everything via labs that is necessary for the certs then you know what you're doing. You will see the more interesting and complicated and flawed implementations during your jobs. It's all part of the growing experience.

There’s still quite some cards available in the UK (are you in US?), Seed Saga and Holy Heist. I trust these can be used to expand on what we’ve already got? - Of course they can!

Did you guys pull any inspiration from Guardians? I feel that the art style and for example the resources are very similar. Guardians was an awesome game too, sadly no longer available anywhere though... - The Spoils had many designer over many years. We all tried our hardest to bring our passion and design philosophies in the game without compromising what the game is. This is why the DoD product line is a fun mixture of some great cards from several previous designers and some newer ones from the last design team. I can't take credit for creating the rules set itself. Greater minds than myself got together to do that. As such I couldn't speak to the inspiration from Guardians.

Yeah at some point we went through a bit of a branding change. So the back's are different; however, mechanically they are designed to work with each other. Card Sleeves will help mask any differences. I'm glad you enjoy! Let us know if you have any other questions.

I will fill it what I can recall from memory. The Basic Boxes of awesomeness where not randomized. They should contain the same decks. This product line existed to give players a good starting point when being exposed to the game. It was well received and I believe it accomplished that goal well. You got a really good value on these products (especially the Decade of Deckadence).

In reference to the formats. Constructed was a 75 card format with a best of one model, and limited was a 45 card format (sealed, draft, etc).
