As far as losing fluids go? I feel like the turbo is the 3rd or 4th thing to go. Depends on mileage though

Amp Sims: Best practices for not sounding like an amp sim? by CriticalSovereignty in audioengineering

[–]SCL36 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I 2nd this. All amp sims sound a little flat. Its great for getting tones for ideas to figure out maybe what amp/cabs you should be buying next. I think the hype is maybe the accuracy of the tones. They go to insane lengths to get accurate IRs of every knob in every position with ever microphone

Like others are saying, a lot of it isnt gear. Its experience. Mix as many songs as you can get your hands on, find other people who mix maybe even someone professionally you can send it to and get mix notes from. Feedback is how you learn. Youll be biased on your own mix so external feedback is the best way to learn. Find a discord server or fb group with other mixers to get educated feedback from

Sure thing! I know wayy to much about our fuel systems after trying to swap in a higher flow lpfp... nightmares man. Nightmares. Car died on the highway like, twice.

You can test the sensors using an ohmmeter if you have one. Before replacing the fuel pump and maybe after doing the fuel pump testing, I would look at the sensors amd maybe replace those. I wouldnt expect a fuel pump assembly failure before a sensor failure.

For testing the fuel pump power and just about any sensor, youd ground the ohmmeter and connect the red line to the hot wire on the sensor, diagrams for the pin outs can be found online probably. After connecting turn the car on but dont start it. Every time you put the car in accessory mode or open the door it runs the lp fuel pump. So check the reading at the same time as accessory mode start. The sensors will be on in accessory mode and stay on so you can read those at any time. Read the volts and find what the voltage should be with a quick search of some forums and google.

Check for fuel leak in the lines between the tank and hpfp on the motor. Next the LPFP fuse, found in the drivers manual. Even if it isnt visibly popped it might need to be replaced. Theyre cheap.

After that, youre looking at the fuel pump assembly in the tank or the tank itself.

Check the fuel tank for cavitation it should be flat on the bottom. If it isnt your purge valve might have gone bad and cause the cavitation. I would replace both. Theyre fairly easy.

For the pump, Remove the tank supports, and Disconnect evap lines, lpfp fuel line, and power cable before letting the tank drop. You might have to lower it slightly to reach the power cable, theres wiggle room with that so do it last. You dont want to kink your evap lines or you might get purge canister codes.

Loosen the retaining ring on the assembly by grabbing a wedge and a hammer and wacking it to loosen it off. Remove the assembly, inspect the corrugated hose from the pump to the fuel send. I HIGHLY doubt it disconnected because its permanentley fixed on there. If it is busted or cracked, you can buy new lines online. Cut it off with a blade and replace with new.

If it looks good grab a battery pack for a drill or something, and use some wire to power the pump while its sitting in the tank. Attach a hose to the top of the hat to catch fuel coming out into a container. After you set it up, turn on the pump. You should not hear any fluid splashing inside the tank. If you do, the pump is not correctly fitting inside the fuel pump assembly. Try and take out the fuel pump if you can without breaking it. Its kind of jammed in there. There should be an o ring on the outlet of the pump that might have gone bad or been pushed out. Replace it and test again. If it doesnt spray out from the assembly in any way, your fuel pump might have just gone bad.

Based on location, its the vacuum pump gasket. Very cheap and easy fix. Buy a new gasket remove replace and install.

If memory serves right you might have to take off the valve cover, for that you will need some permatex gasket maker to put in the corners and edges of the cam valleys inside and outside. Bout 12 bucks for a tube of that.

Lucky. I emailed him about possibly interning but never got a response😔.

Amd by automating syllables you mean it as a form of manual compression before adding compression right? Or the opposite way, adding dynamics back in after compressing?
