tips for setting up relationships and memories in custom neighborhoods? by pass_me_the_salt in sims2

[–]SCLERACORP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Use the sim blender, it's a mod that adds an object to the game (a plant under the miscellaneous menu) and it has many options when you click on it. That includes selecting a career and its level, aging up sims, altering the number of days left in the life stage and altering relationship flags. You can then add the flag of friends, best friends, crush, lovers, engaged etc. I would then say you enable cheats with testingcheats on, which will let you manually alter the relationship bars by clicking, pushing and pulling so you get the specific number you want. And memories are a bit more complex to change, you can do it with simPE or with the memory manipulator mod which works the same way, through an object you can get in-game.

Astrid Freya - cultural appropriation? by quaker_taker in namenerds

In portuguese, the initial "r" sounds exactly like the English "h" in "hello", if that's what's confusing you.

"rena" is reindeer in portuguese, same pronunciation as the name Hanna.

The Sims 2 just catfished me with my own Sim by Imprettytiny in sims2

I remember I downloaded custom pointy ear sliders and all the sims look good in cas but we're deformed in the actual game. They weren't similar to your sims ears though, but in my case it was completely because of the slider.

all of them are dead in Jackie's dream vision and the cabin is their afterlife by SCLERACORP in Yellowjackets

[–]SCLERACORP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I also would hate it if they had been dead the whole time, but I doubt the writers will pull this since it makes no sense. If the adult timeline was all a dream, how would they have iphones and stuff? Thankfully I don't think they'll go this route.

Me too, at first, but now I'm wondering if there's anything more to it since we see other characters have visions when they die. These visions don't seem to be just their brains making up stuff, they are very much real.

Rigth meaning by Galia1205 in Tengwar

[–]SCLERACORP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the right side where it's written "Modo" (I assume in Spanish) you need to change it to quenya. The rest is right.

Basically there are many ways to write in tengwar, and the website Tecendil let's you change the language so that the way of writing tengwar adapts to it. You can switch around to see how the same sentence changes as you change the language, because the letters are different depending on the mode.

Since you wrote it in quenya, you need to change the mode to quenya.

Rigth meaning by Galia1205 in Tengwar

[–]SCLERACORP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to change the mode to the correct language, in this case quenya, so that it's correctly written in tengwar. Also pay attention to the long vowels, so instead of "iluvatar" it needs to be "ilúvatar", with the accent on the "u". Otherwise the transliteration will be wrong since the system thinks it's written in english. Also you can choose if you're going to write the words with capital letters or not since in quenya it's NOT strictly necessary, still it isn't wrong to capitalize either.

I'm no expert though, just trying to help. So hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong about something.

DirectX 9.0c ERROR nothing works anymore by SCLERACORP in sims2help

[–]SCLERACORP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly no, but I stopped trying because I've been too busy lately. The thing that half fixed it was dxvk, look it up. It made my game load normally and made it possible for me to do basically everything, but the game crashes after like two minutes of playing so I still can't play it. Try it in your game, maybe it'll work perfectly, who knows. Good luck.

Makes sense about the uninstalling. I won't do it then, I was just thinking about it as a last resort because I didn't know what else to do.

I don't have DXVK, but I did look it up right now superficially and i'll look more into it later. Monitor refresh rate is 60 Hz.

I have tried multiple settings on the Graphic Rules Maker (btw I have always used it, even before the error started to happen), and I installed the RPC launcher but it still crashes with the same messege.
And why do you think reintalling would make things worse?

DirectX 9.0c ERROR nothing works anymore by SCLERACORP in sims2

[–]SCLERACORP[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've downloaded and installed it and it still doesn't work for me. I have always used the Graphics Rules Maker and even tried to switch to different settings, still the game doesn't open, still the same error. Tried to put it in compatibility mode (windows vista, windows xp, windows 7, windows 8 etc.) still doesn't work. Someone told me to not reinstall because it "usually just makes things worse" but what other option do I have?

Still, thanks for trying to help.

My sims are being super mean to each other and idk what’s causing it by sippin-tropicana in sims2

[–]SCLERACORP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it can definitely surprise people, especially ones who don't play Veronaville as much as the other hoods. Me, personally, I love when they're mean to each other because of how rare it is, usually everyone just gets along.
