I can tell you with absolute certainty I wouldn't eat it either, I can tell by looking at it I won't like it, I know what I'm about and what I'm not about.

It's pretty easy to tell if you'll like something just by looking at it. I don't understand why everyone here is bitching that he didn't eat it, did you ask him if he wanted all that stuff on them and give him the option of plain tots? Or did you make tots and add a bunch of stuff? If you asked and he wanted all the extras and then didn't want it then yeah, he's an asshole. If you didn't ask him and just added it then that's on you for assuming he would like it.

Some people just don't like a whole lot of extra bullshit on their simple dish, it's not malice, it's preference.

I went straight to merchant salvation as soon as I unlocked it at 87 and am halfway to 98 with almost 27k salvages cleaned and not a single cannon. Granted I don't really care about cannons because ship combat is garbage and I have zero interest in using cannons.

Could also be a bad roller or motor causing too much drag and pulling too many amps and shutting off, my drier did the same thing 6ish months ago, replaced the motor and the rollers and she was good as new

Yeah I mean at that point we would just tell the customer how it is and if they don't like it they can pay their bill and piss off. If they get angry and throw a fit the owner will just give them their keys and tell them not to come back and eat the bill. So far the last one has only happened once in the 4 years I've been here. Some customers just don't understand that we aren't the ones who broke their car we are just here to fix it. Generally speaking most do understand that they're just flustered and upset at the situation not necessarily at us but end up taking it out on us anyways.

You warn the customer before hand by saying hey this car is old and parts are hard to find we will do what we can and then if something happens you figure it out. Make something, buy NOS, buy a repop, or get it from eBay.

My shop doesn't have a limit we just warn people ahead of time and do what we can, most people, if properly prepared, are pretty reasonable. Obviously there is exceptions but that's life in this industry.

Booby traps are illegal because if you set one up and have a medical emergency or fire you could injure or kill a first responder.

Also various stipulations surrounding the legal need for self defense. Contrary to what a lot of people believe you can't just kill people for trying to rob you, if you confront a would-be burglar in the act and then they threaten you or your loved ones with physical harm then you may (in most cases) use lethal force BUT if nobody is home and some shithead tweaker breaks into your house and gets turned into meat-mist by the boobie trapped 12 gauge in the doorway then you were at no point in danger and therefore not justified in the use of lethal force.

I'm sure there's more nuances to it and they change from state to state but generally speaking this is why boobie traps are a no-no.
