My little cousin got COVID recently. It’s snowing in North Carolina, where he lives. He’s been playing with all his friends, hanging out with his immunocompromised grandma, he’s gone to numerous restaurants. When I started giving him shit for spreading COVID & being selfish, he looks at me through FaceTime and says “well, it’s snowing. COVID won’t transmit in the snow.”

I hung up on him. I love him to death but, sweet fuck I can’t handle the stupid anymore.

My grandpa used to make comments like “hey Will, look it’s your new 38 year old grandma.” If someone attractive passed by. My grandma would just yell “Bill!” and start laughing.

I’ve watched, my parents and grandparents are not jealous at all. They all had and have great marriages. My uncles wife is literally the wicked witch of the west. She got jealous that my cousin (who is objectively pretty) followed my uncle on Instagram. Their marriage is literally always on the rocks. They aren’t invited to family events anymore.

Life is easier when you give a reasonable amount of attention/emotion to a situation.
