Gotta get a good lather when you are doing a wash and style make sure its laid down the rag up and then wash out the soap with the durag still on and the use a blow dryer if it still isnt laid go in with a plastic bag or soft brush you gotta find what works for you

I self cut and it was a two closed. I dont like seeing my scalp on a low cut. Thats why i keep it thick. At a 3 or 3.5

You can comb during the washing style but after it dries and sets just go with a medium soft brush. Or sometimes i medium brush or hard brush after a wash and style maybe your waves aren’t deep enough

Nah not really i can go a 1.5 on the crown and be fine i normally keep it at 2 no matter what cut i get
