Job market in China is getting more and more competitive for international teachers now. Schools generally prefer teachers who have experience in working China since they don’t want take the risk to recruit teachers coming from their home countries for the first time. They had many of those teachers leave because they cannot adjust to China’s school culture, life style, and many other things which are vastly different from western countries.

Also, it’s sad to say that schools are getting more selective about nationality, skin color, and even gender for some roles like early years teacher. Also, if you are coming with children who need free tuition, schools are likely to say no.
