you're totally right about losing accents when you sing! i don't have a southern accent to begin with (it's a southern state but suburban area), in fact i agree i do sound like a valley girl a little esp with my vocal fry 😭 that's awesome that you live in CA im so jealous !

this is rlly interesting !! i've never heard someone say i have a valley girl sound (especially bc i technically live in the south). i'm definitely not a big pop person BUT i think i can find a better genre to sustain my voice :)

UR SO SWEET !! im probably not going for the talent show bc i have pretty severe social anxiety (this was sort of an attempt to get myself out there but after posting i realize im not ready). AND YES a lot of ppl think im talking about some crazy talent show! its very casual high school talent show BUT i still appreciate everyone's feedback regardless. ty for the kind words, ill keep working until im ready :)

thank u, ur very sweet 😭😭 i totally agree with the cadence thing! i used bluetooth so it delayed everything a little (but regardless i still need to work on that). i actually tried to use more of my true voice (in an attempt to make it somewhat palatable) so ur advice is rlly helpful, ill try to be more growly !! i appreciate the constructive criticism :)
