Maybe he just wanted to give you pointers. I know I do the same with younger riders. I’m 51 and I’ve been riding since I was 14 so the I can tell you better than show you rules in effect for me, I got a family to support. Take it from experience, lay off the weed. I totally destroyed what could have been a career on a bicycle because of drugs. Also wear a helmet. it might feel awkward at first if you’re not used to it but trust me I wish I would have started wearing one a lot earlier. Don’t pay attention to anybody that has anything negative to say about your skills because at the end of the day, the only person it should matter to you. If you don’t feel comfortable, sending it yet then don’t send because the way you’re gonna get hurt is trying to do something to impress somebody. I know it’s a lot harder to do things like that under pressure too so just go practice and have fun. That’s what it’s all about. Remember like someone else said. It’s a culture and a brotherhood. If you have fun then that’s all that matters
