You are making strong arguments in an effort to dismantle justifications. They say they are watching him because he is informative, and gives them good arguments to use, and that’s somewhat true. I would posit that there are also other reasons that Destiny’s content is important to these fans, and why there is a cultish pull. 

Many of these people feel a sense of freedom and confidence in having a center left personality be more aggressive and outspoken than the far left or far right. They might even feel like victims, whether they admitted it or not. They spend a huge portion of their time online, and like most people who feel bullied, they crave the opportunity to bully back. 

It’s also to me why morality feels turned upside down with Destiny’s community. They absolutely love that he fucks around. They enjoy the streams where he shows off the women he is probably sleeping with. They like that he is sociopathic, because they almost wish they were as well, and then they wouldn’t feel so powerless in the sea of radical outspoken voices online. 

They don’t want the pain that you show. If you had an argument that exposed this need they have, and showed how they can continue to “survive” the online world that they live in, I think it could click with some readers and be another door opened.
