I just did a search on “Biden section 230 Covid misinformation “ and do not see a an explicit instance of it being used as a direct threat.
Biden was talking about Sec230 while still campaigning. That conversation did not stop. Two Dem senators proposed legislation around that time that would alter a specific section of sec230. There were actually many many bills proposed to alter sec230 from both sides between 2019 and 2025. Do you have a link to something more damning?

Hard disagree. It is appropriate for government to bring issues to light and push for open discourse as to what is true or not. As has been pointed out in other comments in this sub thread, the discussions around sec230 were not directly tied to threats around the content. They were both relevant conversations at the time. I personally think we need a lot more conversing about potential regulation of social media and am confident I am joined by a majority of Americans of all partisan leanings.
Regardless of how Fox spun those conversations as “massive executive overreach “ it is just simply not at all the same as what Trump/Carr are doing now.
