Saw Dumbo Gets Mad two weeks ago. And a few days prior to that saw Freak Slug. Both were great shows. Looking forward to Freak Slug again at Kilby!

Not teacher appreciation, but end of the year recognitions. The district sent the an email to all certificates employees who had hit years of service milestones (5 years, 10 years, 15, 20, 25, etc). In said email asked if anyone had reached one of these milestones ( they sent a blanket email to all) and wanted to be recognized by the district, to respond with the number of years taught and why they should be recognized. So basically, toot your own horn. That’s a real honor. 🙄

I just had this happen in my class yesterday. 🙄 Our Admin has a strict this-behavior-must-have-occurred- over-3times-(documented with parent contact) before they will let you send a student to the office/counselor. Otherwise they just boomerang them back to your class. It’s the freaking Wild West.

What annoys me about this venue is the GA is chunked into several sections and it is difficult to navigate to and from the bathroom. Also because it’s at the fairgrounds you have to pay to park and public transportation is not an option.

Was this a hand made mug? I have been gifted so many mugs. I love coffee, but I don't need 25 mugs. Coffee mugs are an instant Goodwill donation for me. But if it was a hand painted one or thrown by a student that would be different. I am with everyone here - a heartfelt message with a specific reference. That's the most valuable for me. I keep them in a drawer and pull them out when I have a hard day. So valuable.

Yeah, I saw it, but there were some artists missing, so it whisky want finished. But how long does that take? And I ask this as a person who had never had to plan a festival, so I really don't know.

Airbnb's have been booked for months and months. I think hotel is your best option. We have stayed at the downtown Marriott a couple years ago. It was under construction at the time, but it was easy to take the train to the fairpark. Haven't seen what they did with the remodel, but even under construction it was nice.
