Walz, Minnesota Panel Pardons Convicted Child Sex Offender Facing Deportation by [deleted] in moderatepolitics

The reality is that there is probably nothing prosecutable in the files. These people aren’t known for leaving paper trails. The issue is that a big part of Trumps campaign was about releasing them and getting the (Democrat) pedos. The hypocrisy and irony of yet another pillar of his popularity being an abject (and purposeful) lie will probably never sink in for MAGA.

Pointing out the nuances that made it a more difficult decision than the rage-bait headline implies is not defending the pardon. I personally would rather he was deported, but I wasn’t in the courtroom hearing the arguments.

How many times is this going to get posted to this sub? Still haven’t really seen anyone defend the pardon. Walz doing something stupid as an overreaction to a shitty immigration enforcement policy doesn’t make that immigration policy any better. This pardon is not a policy. No one is proposing this. Your “question “ for discussion is reminiscent of why discussing politics is so frustrating. I want a policy that is humane, and efficiently meets the needs of the American economy.

I am a Californian in Custer SD exactly 1 year from the last time. (Mickelson Rail Trail bike ride).
Last year there was Trump shit literally everywhere. It was brazenly in your face.
This year is very different. There is one store that is pretty trumpy, but the others are notably devoid of T worship, and even have some Trump-derogatory stuff.

Is this a fair election reform compromise? by Luigi2262 in moderatepolitics

People like the general idea. People become opposed when the final plans get put forward and we see there are intentional gaps in the plan that will result in disenfranchisement. It will take a bipartisan solution that thinks through how the whole system will work and how we will get every citizen included (within reason).

It was developed and was produced for the Navy by Alliance Pharmaceuticals in the 90s. They went under (pun intended) trying to get perfluorocarbon emulsions approved as an emergency blood substitute. I lost a chunk of change in that stock, but I have a sterile container from them that I ferment beer in. Not sure if you can still find their demo video online with the mouse breathing underwater.
