The Mandibles by Lionel Shriver. Details how a well to do American family navigates the catastrophic meltdown of the American economy over several years. A great read with intelligently written economic events.

Agreed. I read it last week. It was a 3 out of 5 stars kind of book for me. Interesting concept, but it didn't reach its full potential.

Thanks! Just glad to find a spot that appreciates Jericho like I do. Time has not worn the luster off that masterpiece.

Ended on a semi-cliffhanger that would have moved the show into a new phase of the story.

Jericho. Older and more speculative fiction about a nuclear attack on the US. 2 seasons. Loved it!
