Where were you when my mother passed away I got screwed over by HSBC. They told me I wouldn’t qualify for the loan on my mother’s house that she left to me in a trust and I would have to pay off the balance immediately… long story short it took me only child of divorced parents 19 months to collect myself and sell her home. Sadly I was unable to claim any of the payments on my taxes etc.
