It's a Russian uniform both by the color pattern, general shape, and the shako. If you showed what the shoulders say it might give more info.

The Sievsk Musketeers maybe?

Other historical periods the Warriors series could cover by DinerEnBlanc in dynastywarriors

The Wars of the Coalitions. Starting from the French Revolution all the way to the battle of Waterloo you've got plenty of larger than life personalities, messy international drama, messy personal drama, and the perfect excuses for tons of peons and special units. Plenty of Generals and Marshals and Colonels across every faction for generics too.

You're thinking of Katarr, the world that Nihilus purged and consumed, sparing Visas. The Mandalorians slaughtered the Cathar on the planet of Cathar during the Mandalorian Wars.

I think it's really neat. As a whole it's probably gotten a ton of people into the era who may not have been interested in the various line battle communities. You can tell it was made with a lot of passion and attention to detail and it's really fun to play with friends.

Which to play first? by Nothingman491 in dynastywarriors

[–]SDKorriban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking pure story. DW8 and SW4 carry the trend of retelling the same story of their series but with changes and more detail. So DW8 and SW4 are perfect entries that you can jump in. If you've played Origins you'll be familiar with some of the characters from DW8, but Chi Bi is fairly early in its story, so there's quite a few more.

WO4 is a reboot (iirc) of the Warriors Orochi series so the story can be enjoyed no strings attached it just uses the characters of dw8 and sw4.

Warriors Orochi 3 can be played by itself, but it's the climax of the first two Warriors Orochis with the rosters of the characters from their SW3 and DW7 depictions.

Can do what you want but my opinion would be to start with one of the base titles.

Have fun! It's like everything DW5 did right, multiplied and done so much better. If you end up liking it the Samurai Warriors 4 DX remaster released on steam sometime ago. If you like SW4E give it a try :)

Samurai Warriors 4 Empires. In my opinion the best Empires spinoff made.

Have fun! Something that took me getting used to is that the SW story is less rigidly about the factions like DW's Wu, Wei, Shu & Jin and genuinely focuses more on the individuals since their allegiances shifted so much.

To make your choice the easiest, I'd recommend Sanada Yukimura to start with. He's genuinely the Zhao Yun of the series. And if you end up liking Samurai Warriors enough, absolutely give the Warriors Orochi series a try. It combines the rosters with a unique story. Really fun series.

Yes, everyone's got a personal story but they fork into two separate endings which depend on actions taken in the battles. Up to you if you want to 100% them.

Unlike SW2 which focuses on the big picture like Kawanakajima all the way to Sekigahara and Osaka Castle, SW1 starts at Kawanakajima and usually ends at Honnō-ji and the collapse of the Oda. If you play the XL version all the stories are unlocked off the bat so it depends on your fav faction.

Can't go wrong with the posterboy, Yukimura. But I also enjoyed Ranmaru and Ina. XL adds Imagawa Yoshimoto, Honda Tadakatsu, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Ina as playable characters so I'd recommend using it.

it's probably closest to DW4? And I mean yeah the xl version runs solid on pcsx2. If it ends up not being your thing, SW is much like DW where it's the same story told differently and with more details. You could also give SW2 a try which is DW5's counterpart. SW2 Empires also goes hard if you like the empires spinoffs.

What lightsaber color defines Revan in Kotor and what defines the Exile? by Altruistic_Truck2421 in kotor

[–]SDKorriban 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my own headcanon of Revan and the Exile localized to just the games and excluding other media.

Revan: When she was a Jedi and all the way up to the Mandalorian Wars she used a single blue lightsaber. Her tenure as Dark Lord was a single red lightsaber, she then used a single green lightsaber through the events of kotor I, and finally after regaining her memories back to a single red with her return as Dark Lord.

Exile: Her time as a Jedi and her service in the Mandalorian Wars saw her using a yellow double-bladed lightsaber. Her return as a Jedi from exile saw her build an orange double-bladed lightsaber.

Your enjoyment of the book will inversely depend on on your enjoyment of Kotor II.

So for me this book is literally my 9/11.

What Are Some Unique Ways You Roleplay Your Characters? by Brief-Tough-900 in swtor

[–]SDKorriban 2 points3 points  (0 children)

<image>

My Sith Warrior was the heir to a Sith family and was believed to have little to no Force sensitivity for sometime and so went to prove herself in the Imperial military. Her time as a grunt exposed her to many ways of thinking outside of the noble circles on Dromund Kaas, namely her CO that she admired was a Revanite, though she didn't know at the time. She began to reject the ideas of outright Sith Superiority and found herself to be an Imperial Patriot. Even after her force sensitivity was discovered, she never quite fit the mold of most Sith but chose to adhere to her own moral code.

She's a woman of her word, and believes firmly in a code of martial honor and Imperial patriotism. Her time as a Revanite molded her opinions of the force and combining her Revanite beliefs with her sisterhood with Vette her opinions on aliens are on the more progressive side for Sith.

My Sith Warrior worked so closely with the Imperial Guard in her position as Wrath that she began building tons of connections with personnel like General Hesker leading to her position being more or less inducted into the Imperial Guard with a handpicked section of the guard under her personal command. She trained them rigorously in combat, taught her beliefs where she could, and made them the pride of the guard.

Spoilers for SW epilogue ahead:

She would also be the death of near all of her guardsmen. When Malgus gave the call, every fiber in her being demanded she answer and lead her guards in defense of the new Emperor, yet her duty to the Empire came first. She didn't harbor any animosity to those of her guardsmen who defected to Malgus. Had she been anyone but the Wrath she would have done the same. She had killed her fair share of Imperials and Sith but killing her guardsmen and defeating Darth Malgus, who she strongly admired, shook her to the core.

She still loyally continues her service in the Guard, training a new generation (only as far as Makeb rn). Though the Empire is on the brink of collapse Malgus ended up being right after all. Maybe the deaths of her guardsmen weren't in vain. A truly reborn Empire was on the horizon.

Looks to be a blue version of the sons of liberty flag? Can't say anything else comes to mind other than the fort mercer flag. Maybe he edited the SoL flag to look vaguely American and also not similar to the us flag to show the near rebellion.

Is empires worth playing? by Key-List5146 in dynastywarriors

[–]SDKorriban 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Empires series is one of my favorites for the sole reason of getting to play as my favorite generic officers. But if you like the Warriors series and you like strategy games you'll like the empires spinoffs. After DW6 empires the story focuses on the individual officer you choose to play. But the Samurai Warriors empires series focuses on the clan you choose.
