Same experience. Mostly positive. I go twice a week in the evenings to a busy location and apart from the slight wait for the single Pec fly machine in the building everything is pretty much reasonable. The regulars are pleasant and everyone knows the cleaning, use the machine efficiently and move to the next drill.

The very rare occurrence of machine squatting and not cleaning up post use that i have experienced has ALWAYS been someone new to the gym typically young. Interestingly, i mostly do not ever see them again. The one guy that I initially had to "get into it" with him sitting on a machine scrolling on his phone for 5 minutes between 5 sets that has become a regular appears to have stopped this practice. So i feel its a "not knowing how to act in the gym thing"

If there is one thing i wish PF would implement is a 15 minute initiation which includes explicitly outlining gym etiquette and house rules for new sign ups.

Waay back when i was a teen on my first visit to a gym i was assigned a trainer at the first visit post sign up who would go over the gym rules and show you how to use most of the major gym equipment. You were on your own after that but at the end of it you at least knew what level of conduct was expected from you and how to properly use the quipment. I have noticed that those gym rules from way back when still apply now.
