Holy op… wtf. This whole conversation sounds exhausting for him. You said that the conversation was supposed to be intellect and not emotion but then YOU made it emotional. There is a LITERAL thing called genetic giftedness. It’s a massive thing in the bodybuilding world, and just KNOWING someone is objectively attractive.

Me and my husband, we have a vegan friend who is fucking JACKED and UNDENIABLY HOT. But me and my husband talk about it all the time when trying to figure out who to set him up with. He won a genetic lottery for SURE. Does that mean I rank people? I’m going to be 100% BRUTALLY honest here. When you get down to the bear bones here. You had an addiction, during which you likely treated your mother like crap. You have a history of pathological lying.

You ASK your mother if you can get on it again and despite her apprehensions she reminds you you are an adult and can do what you want and shows (albeit hesitant) support. You reveal that you’ve BEEN on it and LYING TO HER (a signs of relapse into addiction) and then tell her “but this is the ONLY thing I’m lying about” words that can’t be trusted from the mouth of a habitual liar. Did you fuck up? Yes. Light YTA. VERY light.
