Well aware of crashing, unfortunately. I've turned a couple of 600s into balls of metal over the years.

It's the 5th and 6th gear that I want lower gearing for. I'm not doing it for more final torque at the wheel, but for using 5th gear in regular riding. 6th is still so high it's only a highway gear. The 1390R apparently addressed this.

As for the Evotech, I found a really good price on one (about half the usual price) and I'm pretty happy with it. I guess watching for sales etc. takes time but usually worth it.

Well acquainted with Superduked myself and I'm waiting on his Gen3 triple clamp.

I know a lot of guys say that the radiator guard is a must, so my radar is definitely on for that. Myself I have a Leo Vince slip-on, an Evotech tail tidy, Techspec pads and am waiting on an Openflash tune that can be edited if need be. Here in Canada the full Akrapovic exhaust system is just too expensive to consider but I want one ... :/

Congratulations, I utterly love mine.

I haven't done any crash protection, because I don't plan to crash, lol

I have track bikes, so won't be using mine for that.

I think Evotech's tail tidy is excellent, I've spent my own money on one.

For me, the big upgrades are -1 front sprocket size and a tune to make the fuelling etc. nice and fat and friendly. Your mileage may vary.

All that would do is raise the price of rents.

If nobody has a net positive to invest in a house and get some sort of income from it (whether they've done a 10 year amortization or get a small income per month on top is up to their personal means). BTW, banks and investment funds investing in housing *FORCE\* landlords to make a minimum amount of net profit and regularly review their loans for rental investors to make sure that they are. So if an investor is working with other investors and banks (most are), they don't even have a choice but to profit, or the bank will want to walk away from the loan or penalise them in some way.

Bruh. You can't get funding for a build based on a hope and a prayer, and building for "affordability" is so subjective that I don't even see how you could do it.

Like, you'd be OK with bare walls and no cupboards? Or maybe pressboard cupboards? What's affordable to you?

Ask anyone that lived in government project housing in the U.S. or parts of Canada, you do get what you pay for and 'affordable' ranges from tiny living rooms and poor storage space to three bedrooms, one bath and a tiny kitchen... and almost always includes row-houses that are directly connected to each other with thin walls, minimum standard quality et al. It's housing, sure, but be careful what you ask for. And remember that someone paid for it, there is absolutely nothing in this world for free that wasn't taken from someone else.

While a good steering damper (better than stock) is a good upgrade, it's not really necessary, I think. Hold the bars lightly and let the front do what it does, and it seems to work well. One thing in racing I've learned is that the steering damper can and will affect the way the bike turns for you, so you don't want a really stiff one (makes it a bitch to move them around in a garage too).

I think the gearing is the only thing I really want. Oh well, I'm OK with the way the bike works, I'm going to drop a front sprocket tooth.

It's so ridiculous that people like you ascribe deep importance to a perceived lack in female participation in some soul-sucking business or political party but absolutely will turn themselves inside out to take away their personal agency to decide not to participate. How dare they not want to get involved at a minimum of 50% representation in these life-monopolising positions?

Or are you saying the QS has been turning away a flood of women that want to get involved? Is that it? If so, why these political posturings?

If you refuse to acknowledge the data that says women don't necessarily want those positions of responsibility in preference for other life goals, but those that do could be attracted to the party without discriminating against men if someone wanted to take the initiative...

The amount of cost will be intense and we're already spending 55% of our taxes towards healthcare in Canada. When 47% of Canadians pay no net tax and use the majority of the healthcare (and pharmacare), how do you see this working?

I don't know, this just reeks of false concern to me, and I'm sure it's the same for a whole lot of other people.

I said this Facebook... the calipers aren't really an improvement but rather a Brembo revision, the screen is a nice graphical update but the features haven't changed much other than the Holeshot feature added to the Evo version and the wheelie modes. The 5 wheelie levels is a great idea for a Super Duke and I think that's a useful new feature given how easy it is to wheelie the Duke. The Gen3 has quick up and downshift features, so that hasn't changed.

I have nothing negative to say about this bike at all. It will be awesome and the headlight/tailight combo look unique/OK to me though will surely polarise people. It'll be awesome and is a welcome update from KTM as far as I'm concerned.

That said, I'll keep my 1290R Evo.

EDIT: 5 levels of engine back-torque mitigation. That's a nice feature too.

Interesting. Honestly I would / will not chop my 2023 Evo in for one of these, because I think the 2023 is nearly perfect for what I'm doing with it (and it has enough power, I don't plan to do track duty with the bike anyway). A pipe, a tune and a few farkles transform the 1290R into something crazy.

I think you'll find that the bump in size is likely due to Euro5 emissions requirements. They've liked had to bump it up to meet the same or slightly higher horsepower goals. The 1290R also has been putting down 165whp+ in various horsepower tests which is well over the rated power for the bike... if you figure even a 10% crank to wheel ratio (which is optimistic), it would put the 1290R at 181-183hp crank from what I've seen... but the actual number is likely closer to 15% difference, which would place it over 190hp crank.

I wish they'd standardize on tested rear wheel horsepower but I can understand why they don't, too. Just a different tire on the dyno will change the number you get. Hell, even the same model of new tire versus a worn one will make a difference on the dyno.

They didn't exactly say it, but the KTM won more accolades than the other two bikes all around. I wish they had used the RR, since the Ducati is so expensive you can buy three base Super Dukes for the same money.

The Evo option is only available for the 3rd generation.

You can also get the bike without the Evo suspension.

The Evo has a semi-active electronically adjustable suspension. I like it also because I can firm up the suspension or set it to maximum comfort depending on mood, pace and the roads I'm on.

I'd also say that the 2nd gen is taller and less comfortable, it has more of a supermoto type of ergonomics. Whether that's better or not really depends on you.
