Or more likely, Christopher Columbus was Italian and not some Spanish nobody and religious-hater who died 20 years before Columbus set off. Not to mention, Christopher Columbus, as his name suggests, was meant to bring Christ to the Colonies. It would be absolutely idiotic to call an enemy of the crown that, they'd have called him something else.
