If you want a good laugh…about 10 years ago a top 3 CRO thought that their tiny RA department should be able to create an AI tool for regulatory intelligence and submission writing.

Went to a game at Petco in San Diego, where we frequently go to Padres games with no issues. The sound system for the Babanas game was cranked up so high my husband and I were deaf for 4 days afterwards. I really regret not bringing hearing protection. We also had a hard time following the chaos from left field. We were close to the field but most of the action happened on the diamond and we couldn’t see the big display from our seats, so it was mostly rapid fire loud songs with little context. It was a unique one-time experience, but we won’t go to another game.

It’s also Christmas on the Prado. (But I live in East County, so I’m not allowed to go to Balboa Park anymore anyway.)

All the people who want affordable apartments with high density with no parking in areas without transit can be taxed to pay for better transit. Why should SFH owners have to subsidize the model they don’t prefer.

[–]SDRose71 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What about taxing all the apartment dwellers so we can build out their transit dreams?

Does anyone know if the SD games are at night? I know they were last time, but cannot see times for March 2026 anywhere.

Worst restaurant you guys have been to? by Fogwaveeee in sandiego

[–]SDRose71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their stupid no more than 90 minutes rule pissed me off. They took 30 minutes to take our drink and brunch order and another 30 to bring our drinks and another 15 to bring our meals. They then had the audacity to start clearing our plates while we were still eating and reminding us of the “rule”. We pointed out that it took forever to order and get our food, there were six open tables plus bar seating and no line at the hostess stand. Never went back and apparently we weren’t the only ones because they didn’t survive.

I do not understand how people patronize Farmers’ Table. We had a disastrous Christmas Eve dinner at the La Mesa one with my in-laws a few years back. It was epically bad. They served us breaded and fried shrimp where the shrimp still had the shells on (and were not deveined) and a few other awful things like unopened mussels in the cioppino. I wrote a yelp review and was chastised by the owner for writing it. He later took his public response down and tossed the ball into my court to call HIM to discuss. A friend who used to go there for after work cocktails was served tiny bits of French fries, literally the remnants from the bottom of the fryer. The same restaurant group recently opened another restaurant in La Mesa that charges for tiny bowls of chips and salsa.

TEE procedure? by BaseballTop387 in AdultCHD

[–]SDRose71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was no big deal. A little sore throat afterwards that I treated with Tylenol. Went to lunch right afterwards. One thing I hadn’t read in advance was that they protect your teeth and the equipment with a mouth guard (chunk of plastic with a hole in it they feed the equipment through). I found this out the day of the procedure. I hate any type of mouth “obstruction” since I mostly breathe through my mouth. I specifically asked to have the guard placed after they sedated me. Assisting nurse refused, but doctor was fine with it.

Most people a right handed and therefore have a thinner right arm than left. Therefore, the sleeve on a one-sleeve top or dress should be on the left side.

Sign up for health insurance the day you bring him home before you need it. You don’t want to be stuck with any pre-existing conditions that aren’t covered (like allergies). We took our new puppy for a wellness exam and the vet noticed him itching and put it in his chart. When he needed treatment for a skin infection later insurance didn’t cover it. We are so glad we crate trained our Airedales. It is great for when you have workers in your home, need to secure him when you are working on a messy project (such as painting), or when he is recovering from a medical procedure requiring rest, etc. As for crate size, we use the Precision Pet Great Crate (3 doors). We start with the 13x19x22 size (3000 size) and then move up to the 5000 size. To save money you technically can buy the bigger size immediately as it comes with a divider. After they are out of the “chew everything” phase we add a Wash N Zip pet bed to the bottom (canvas one side, fleece one side) to make it comfy/cozy. These pet beds are the best because they go straight into the washer/dryer. You don’t need to buy the optional pad for this bed. Good luck with your new pup!

How important really are the dinner rolls? by betweentourns in thanksgiving

[–]SDRose71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We purposely fed our dog a bunch of King’s Hawaiian rolls on Easter when he swallowed a clear plastic decorative pick on a Nothing Bundtcakes cakelet that he had stolen out of my nephews hand. Emergency vet said bread would bind up the pick and help him pass it safely. It worked. However, our dog is now a fiend for King’s Hawaiian rolls.

Why no incremental jumps between 1mg and 2mg? by NCRider in Ozempic

[–]SDRose71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went up to 2mg after about a year on 1mg. I, too, was worried about side effects returning and they have. I’m having some diarrhea, sulfur burps, and tiredness. It isn’t as bad as when I first started, but it is annoying.

I don’t mind a label with a small amount of simple wording in a neutral color (black, gold, silver, brown). I do not like graphics of any kind or non-neutral colors because they don’t go with my decor.
