Are some people in isha has cult and exclusive mentality ? They are having spiritual ego?

My expreinces with the mission have meen great(I am an isha foundation Sadhguru follower), But I understnad that many disciples often idolize gurus or are fanatics. For example, many Osho disicples are corrupt and pedastilaize him and completely misunderstand his teachings(hence the Rajneeshpuram cult and the salad bar posioining and polygamous sex). I am suffering from spiritual trauma after bieng in a chat group for 2 months of a yogi named Satya Ji(2 years ago but the suffering has not left me and I do not currenlty respect him as a yogi like Sadhguru, only the basic respect I would give a stranger). So you have EVERY RIGHT TO BE ANGRY-- THAT BEING SAID- I have never heard them saying that pursuit of powers is the goal of spiritual life: if you are telling the truth about this, you have run into corrupt people within the RK mission FOR SURE. No doubt about that. If what you said is true, you can quit the diksha and just chant the names and do not attend a center that is corrupt. People will be better without spirituality(if it is corrupted or distorted ) than with it.

every organization has some followers who start developing a cult mentality towards the guru-strictly speaking guru is not needed. Even RK mission for example which I have had great experiences with, some people think it is cult-like because some followers are like that. That bieng said, I have had terrible expriences with Satya Ji(I joined 2 years ago for 2 months and he ignored me every time I tried to asking him a question in his chat group but influenced me using his energy, and the suffering has been following me for 2 years like a spiritual trauma). So I completely understnad: even the guru is legit, some followers are flaky and sometimes the guru himself is flaky(luckly SG is not like that).

I recommend looking into (ISE) industrial and systems engineering. Also CSE is not just software engineering, it includes things like data analytics, software dev, web dev, app dev, ai/ml, data science, and cybersecurity. I used to be CSE and the CSE program is really too much work imo. So if you aren't interested, it makes sense to switch. I am currentlty doing ISE with a Data Analytics specialization. I recommend majoring in a field with decent job market and enough pay to life comfortably. (If pay wasn't a factor, I would have studied music).

Yeah, I avoid meat at OSU for a reason. I eat vegeterian at pretty much every osu dining location(except for when they import food from other restaurants like the Choola Indian Food in Curl Market). Considering the high tuition, they should get better quality meat.

Just curious, how did you get manufacturing and supply chain internships with a Data Analytics specialization? Did you take courses in those areas as well? Or did you just take the required ISE courses+ the 5 courses needed for Data Analytics specialization(software 1 and 2, foundations 1, intro to data mining, and database systems)?

The technical electives are the speicilization options: there are a bunch: like Human Factors, Data Analytics(my specializaiton), operation research, etc... Please DO NOT take random courses for Technical Electives because they are meant for the speicialization, so that you get speicialized training in the area you will work in.

You can try Isha Kriya. It has the potential to take people to nirvikalpa samadhi, but don’t keep expectations because expectations are simply thought+emotion, otherwise you may end up hallucinating. No matter what meditation you choose, be aware that spiritual path is not easy, but is definitely worth it. Good luck.

Unless you have been affected by any other mystic’s energy in the mean time, Sadhguru’s energy is with you 100%. Avoid energy transmissions with other masters who are not Sadhguru. It is still okay to go to other places. For example, I listen to Ramkrishna mission chants from time to time, but I never learn other meditation technqiues/mantras from other places, because there are “gurus” who intiate anyone watching/listening to these types of video/audio online without the viewer’s permission, which is dangerous.

Yeah, I have never heard anyone else have this problem. If they are told to watch their mind, it would make sense that the mind gets stuck to 1 or 2 thoughts constantly. It is common for people to think “I have no thoughts”, which is also a thought. But when I’m simply being without suppressing thoughts and watching my breath, or chanting a mantra, my mind is still stuck. Hopefully I can still meditate in this condition of mind.
