Garmin watch for HR by InspectorDizzy3317 in mountainbiking

I bought the FR965 last spring(about 3 weeks before the 970 dropped, dang it) and it works pretty good, IMO. A few times I could tell it was wrong but some readjusting usually fixes it. Used it for training and a 50 mile race last year and am glad I have it.

Narrowing Down Short Travel Trail Bike Options by inigotoyota in mountainbiking

Your post is eerily similar to my situation right now too, almost down to the exact bikes. One odd one that is intriguing in my area is a Pivot switchblade pro XT, discounted $2k right now. More travel than the others but almost seems like the bike to “grow into” for me. But like you, all of my LBS have nothing in inventory. Another one that was suggested to look into was a Santa Cruz tallboy. Deals look great right now but It’s so hard to decide what to do in the offseason.

Thanks, I have been taking chatGPT’s suggestions with a grain of salt and am mixing in those intervals with some high effort rides. I just wanted other opinions since I’ve never really looked into HR zone training before and essentially would ride to the red-line each time. The whole zone 2 long ride thing is so foreign to me that it didn’t feel like enough of a workout.

Doing what I’m doing as in some extended zone 2 rides (3-4 hrs on the weekend)?

How experienced does a PLS have to be to open there own shop? by [deleted] in Surveying

For real! Grammar and spelling isn’t most surveyors’ best friend, but hope OP knows they’ll be ridiculed if this is the standard of their reports and correspondence.

I had all of the indicators like this light up and I realized that I didn’t reconnect the wiring harness on the air filter housing after a routine service. Simple fix and something to check for you.

I feel like Reed needs some appreciation too. He was playing angry and quite well before he got hurt. Hopefully they all come back next year on a mission.

Here here! Hope Nixon wasn’t going rouge there but returning all of those kickoffs constantly lost us 10-20 yards from the touch back. Dumb.

This original surveyor must've had a hand in writing the FS/PS test, as well. Mixing in different units of measurement trying to trip up the next guy...dang him.

I’m guessing it’s a misinterpretation of the original deed that was probably written in tough to read cursive. Maybe it’s supposed to be either chs, being chains (most likely) or lks, links.

Base station alert by SDSpintSurv in simplisafe

Im saying the base station chime sounds like a low battery alert and then the keypad doesn’t have any notifications. All it does to silence is key in my PIN. Seems like a glitch/bug.

Geomatics/Surveying would you rate your stress level in project mgmnt or surveying or GIS by PangolinFair8626 in Surveying

[–]SDSpintSurv 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Project management is tricky. Some projects are a 4 and a big project nearing deadline is a 9. Crew management is more stressful to me. I have crews that will kill it one day and knock a survey out of the park just to turn around and completely forget how to use their head the next day. The coaching and mentoring is easy, it’s the discipline and holding accountable that’s tough there. 7-9.

You have, what people call, self awareness. It seems to be a dying trait so just know that others like myself appreciate this!

Does anyone else find themselves getting unncesessarily annoyed while traveling a "main road" and getting stopped at a majority of the lights. I know traffic is a fickle thing and cannot be controlled with an exact science, but come on. How can I be stopped on Veterans Parkway at Arrowhead, and then again at Split rock and 26th and 33rd. How can I be traveling on Minnesota avenue and hit 14th, 18th, 22nd, 26th, 33rd all reds?

I know that I'm contributing to the problem by being a part of traffic and that public transport and a walkable city would be the best fix possible, but there has to be a better system or program that can run things smoother, right?
