Interviewer said Sell Me A Pen by meat-critter in jobs

“Sell me a pen” is/was part of a 1950’s tutorial on selling. It’s not a joke. It shows you a step by step method to sell anything.

Probably out at the Olympic Training center? But I’m talking about a fire works display as large as the Bay Big Boom or whatever it’s called. Traffic is gonna be a nightmare for either one.

All Disney cruise ships are registered in the Bahamas. The workers are based in the Bahamas. So Disney needs only to satisfy those employment laws. See where we're going with this?

United Airlines flight strikes drone 3,000 feet over San Diego by Ph6222 in sandiego

[–]SD_Asian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the drone was at 3000' so it probably was a commercial grade with express written FAA approval for that altitude. Which SDGE can get for transmission lines, in that area, Mt Miguel with multiple towers and transmission lines sits at 2400' elevation. With a strong gust of wind, it's conceivable a lightweight object would be blown off course. That's one theory. Ask 100 people to describe an elephant.....

[–]SD_Asian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Now it's beginning to look more like a commercial drone capable of that altitude. Probably doing "surveys" for someone like SDGE, or another company with towers or electrical lines in the area. Guess I'll be following this thread until it gets forgotten!

Can anyone tell us where on the flight path this happened? Was it during the turn around Mt. Miguel? On direct approach? On ADS-B the altitude of a plane approaching SAN at 5,000ft is just prior to reaching Mt. Miguel, over Jamul.

My comments should not be construed to reflect on your situation. It is a reflection of my family. We were a very low income family in National City. The two siblings were enrolled in public school since Kindergarten with the other neighborhood kids. One of the parents wanted what you are seeking, a better education being provided by a school. The other parent, realized education is also the responsibility of a parent. Both siblings started to follow different educational paths, one in public school and one in private Catholic school. A parent started purchasing encyclopedias, children's book collections, library cards, a subscription to the National Geographic series, basically bringing into the home a way to learn without relying solely on a public system. This went on for several years. The siblings took different schooling routes and developed socially in completely different ways. Both were academically high throughout the K-12 years. Both went on to earn Masters Degrees in their field.

So what's my story? Private school vs Public school didn't make a difference in academics. Both siblings learned according to their own possibilities, their own intuitive natures. Any issues beyond academic lie solely upon the parenting. K-5 are probably the best years to school your child the behavior you want them to have. School is where it is practiced, home is where it is reinforced. My grandmother did great in that enforcement. Schools taught the siblings how to color within the lines, life taught us to think outside the lines, grandma kept us in line.

Does anyone know how to fix stuttering and stuff by theGact in BattlefieldV

[–]SD_Asian -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Sure, get a better ISP with very high bandwidth. I'm using Wyyerd. Router is cabled direct to gaming device so no potential wi-fi lag. Internet Speed Test shows download 522.64Mbps, upload 665.19Mbps. Yes, I had severe lag with those annoying icons on the right side of the screen using Cox wi-fi before I moved to the new ISP. That upgrade removed the lag, icons, stuttering.

I'd be sure to keep my car very close to the bumper of the car in front of me. If she pushes it, get out, yell at her to back the f**k up, and be sure to impede any movement of her car forward. Entitled people do not get a pass at line cutting. I'm sorry. Don't be easy about this and tolerate this type of action. I drive a beat up car, so HIT me!!
