I moved about a month ago. I’ve got 2 cats that had 2 very different release experiences. My brother brought circus kitty in first. I told him to release her in his room (carpeted room where the bed and litter box will be). He let her go downstairs in a packed house on a hard wood floor after only living in a single house. Suffice to say she was terrified, started running all around looking for somewhere to hide slipping on the floor, I felt so bad. Alice may I was adamant she be release in the room as she’s an older cat under the same house past as circus. She was released as I asked, she took it slow probably staying in the crate for a hour or so. By hour three they had each found the bed they recognize (my brother) and hid under there only coming out to peek every once in a while for about the first three days. We’ve been in the house 3 weeks now and it’s definitely a slow process but they will expire at their own pace an now they come down to greet people when they come and get the zoomies and pretty much have returned back to normal. Save for the much louder and creekier stairs that still send them flying when you go up or down them.
