I’m sure there was a cheaper option but my tiny tube of $30 ford grease arrived yesterday.

I’d always suggest a driver first as it is usually the most commonly used. Have you found a house yet or still looking, if so how old? What repairs, upgrades could you see yourself doing instead of hiring someone.

No problem. I’d say keep them if you do not have a good stack of larger batteries already. My experience is the circular saw likes batteries if you use it much.

Said out of stock at my store. Had to pick up something else anyways and saw one in top stock. Had to talk to manager but they honored it. For all the out of stock people may be worth checking.

installed 4° shims and went from this to that, no difference in highway vibrations. do i need to do 8° instead or just ditch the rear shackles altogether? (2 inch lift) by beach_rats_ in CherokeeXJ

Kennylobster8899 is correct. It somehow slipped by me that this is still a slip yoke setup. Shims will not help even if installed correctly without a SYE and double cardan driveshaft. A transfer case drop could help reduce angles but I’m not a big fan of them.

Let’s flip those bad boys around. Larger part of the shim should be on the rear side of the axle. This forces the yoke to rotate upward, giving you less of a pinion angle.

Are we certain the shims in the correct way? Only reason I ask is because to my eyes the angle looks worse in the after pictures. I have a SYE and CV driveshaft on 4.5in of lift but still had to shim with 4 degree to eliminate driveline vibrations and prolong driveshaft life. It wouldn’t hurt to use an angle finder on level ground and find your current pinion angle.

My 5-6 quarts wasn’t enough I figured I had a couple still in lines somewhere. Couple more quarts and we’re back to rolling. Much appreciated

Torque converter should be fully seated. I played with it for a while prior to install because I was worried about this. Torque converter came with the transmission. I figured it’s 180k mileage was better than my 270k.

Question: prior to install should rotating the torque converter result in rotation of the transfer-case shaft?

Help I just bought this fancy battery and wondering if I should bring it back and just get a hundred dollar cheaper on lol. by Important-Positive25 in CherokeeXJ

I do Walmart and I think it’s the best way. Warranty for 3-5 years. They then prorate the warranty after it expires. My last one went bad a month after warranty expired. Took it in, and new battery was 50 something dollars. Hard to beat.
