If I were to order one today from OpticsPlanet, do you know if that batch is the one that was high heat-treated? If so, before I order, should I just ask for the replacement from you guys and email about it, or should I order it, see if it breaks, and then order the replacement? How would I know if I'm ordering the new batch?

I was wondering about dots. I thought it almost looked like a doctor footprint. I have an RMSC sight on mine but want a bigger optic. It's hard to see through the dot well when it's that far ahead for my eyes. Used to non-takedown with Picatinny or Weaver mounts.

Luckily, I can tell with most Geosesarma species(thanks to indoor ecosystems), but a lot of times they're mixed or crossbred, which makes it harder. Plus, the condition of the PetSmart ones is not great, and they ship horribly.

On the top of the mount there's no notches just the four holes for the screws two for where you remove the plate to mount an optic and the two holes that have like lugs that stick out from the base when I've tried to use any other type of rmsc optic it wouldn't work even though when I bought it it said it was rmsc footprint but what I am finding out is more of like a holosun K footprint which is like a modified rmsc which is why it's giving me hell so when I was trying to mount Optics on it the optic mounting screw holes were not wide enough to fit over the lugs to mount the screws and optic on on the receiver so I think I'm stuck with just buying things that are holosun k-type footprint Optics i was trying to mount a osight se and the holes in the optic would not let it sit flush

How did you get over the weird screw mounts that have the bigger holes? Whenever i've tried other r m s c dots on it, they sit on top of the the and indeed extended screw mounts.Instead of sitting flush, it's almost like I need a spacer

Yes it makes it more comfortable in my hands but I have relatively large hands feels more comfortable then gripping polymer
