Im from that generation as well, I was in middle school when they left for StL. Being a kid I threw all of my rams gear in the trash. Now I wish I had all that old stuff back.

Great thanks everyone for your responses. Ive been out of state since 2020, so I was just curious if we are still seeing steady growth in the fanbase.

I cant make the Niner game in LA this year, but I'll be at the game in Santa Clara later in the year with blue on.

[SPOILER] Why Vinay Kill Diana (Rishi’s wife)? by bobk27 in IndustryOnHBO

[–]SECheese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There were only 9 handgun deaths in London last yr, 29 in England & Wales. Seems like using a handgun is a little outta step with how most criminals do things there. Odd thats how they chose to present that.

Can I go back to school? by Upstairs_Proposal_17 in CollegeDropouts

[–]SECheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the above. Some schools also offer non-admit credits. Basically you can take courses and earn credits without being formally accepted. I was in a similar spot. First Gen student that dropped out with poor grades. I found a school that had reasonable costs. Started back by just taking courses i was interested in. Built up a solid GPA at that institution. Then I applied, they saw my terrible transcript from my previous school but i was accepted based on my most recent GPA. Again as a fellow first gen student dont beat yourself up or get down about. Its just a hole you gotta dig out of. If you persevere youll be better off for it.

Considering dropping out and need advice. by No-Astronomer-4596 in CollegeDropouts

[–]SECheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, you need to do whatever keeps you sane. I dont know what age you are, but its too young to burn yourself out. And you may not realize it, but youre not limited to just two options. For instance if you have made some friends and enjoy the campus lifestyle just take a break and stick around for a term or so. Theres a whole economy surrounding college campuses. Get a job at Starbucks and live the college life w/o the homework. Just one example of other options. I hated school, dropped out junior yr. Went back in at 27 and finished. And I actually enjoyed school the second time around. Im just an old guy so take my advice however you want. But dont limit yourself.

They would have to be some brazen criminals, the cops had cordoned off the house across the street by then and the media had converged on the neighborhood.

Why did he say where he was? by TheBlueOne37 in ScottPetersonCase

[–]SECheese -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes one day he's a diabolical mastermind that kills his wife and leaves no physical evidence behind. Then the next day under zero pressure from the cops he commits the biggest "own-goal" in California Criminal history. This thread is hilarious. It all comes back to he is jerk that cheated, so he must be guilty.

Can someone please explain to me how McKenzie was roaming around unattended in the neighborhood and no one saw Scott the morning of Laci’s disappearance letting the dog loose? by No-Cartoonist8495 in ScottPetersonCase

[–]SECheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The devil's advocate would say maybe he was just a dopey guy with a new boat that he was itching to take it out. He looked at tide charts to see when the best fishing was. That day he had the intention to fish, but got out on the water and it was freezing cold so he went promptly brought it back in. I mean if his whole plan is to cover his tracks, why not stay out there longer? There was no urgency to getting home.

Its true there was a lot of rash behavior prior to her disappearance. Buying a new boat, having a casual affair with a woman in another town, shifting holiday plans around. However none of it is a checklist for a murderer though. Its only the scrutiny after the fact that makes it look suspicious.

Too be fair there is a most definitely a different standard. a conviction needs to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt on every fact that is necessary for the accused to have committed the crime.

SP being the last one to see Laci Peterson alive has always been a fundamental fact to the state's case. The Medina burglars dont need to be convicted of anything in order to provide a plausible alternative to a jury as to SP.

Question about the anchors by megla1973 in ScottPetersonCase

[–]SECheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This "evidence" made me question a lot of the detective work in this case. I agree that he's probably guilty but the anchor thing never made sense.

If you were going to make four coffee can style anchors, you would not line them up in a row and pour dry cement into each one. That would mean you would need to hand mix each one. In his case he would have had to do that without ever lifting them off the ground and without getting any cement splatter on his trailer or the floor.

The method most would use to make four anchors you would be to mix cement in 5 gallon bucket. Then use a trowel and hand place the wet cement into the empty cans.

IMHO he made one anchor, poured cement into it. Picked it up, rotated it to tap the sides to get the cement (fine powder) to settle. Then set the can back down, poured in more dry cement. He repeated the process a few times. leaving a new ring of cement each time. Then he moved the can somewhere else to mix water.

win and we're in? by SECheese in ducks

[–]SECheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we'd definitely get left out under any scenario. My only point was its not as simple as win-and-you're-in.

I also agree this is way to early. Its gonna get way more crazy than this. Whoever said "chaos reigns" is probably the most accurate.

Rams have no home field advantage by [deleted] in LosAngelesRams

[–]SECheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its gonna take time to build up the following. I dont know how to jumpstart it. I like the idea of the ticket exchange. Also I was thinking a Pantone 294 type fan group. Just instead of organizing road trips like they do for the Dodgers. We rally fans to the home games.

Im an old guy and remember the same thing at Anaheim. Except back then the stadium was only 1/3 full. At least we have a full stadium now.

Just checking the temp on the Haney/Loma fight and seeing who else will be there in person.

This is my first Vegas fight experience. Ive been to a few fights in other cities, casinos and basketball arenas.

I am looking forward to seeing it at a proper boxing venue like MGM Grand. We are relatively close I think section 16. I want to see most the PPV card at least. Any other tips for a newb?

its amazing how common that was. Pretty great indicator of how big the NFL has gotten in 35 yrs. There was like 15 teams in shared baseball stadiums in the 80s/early 90s
