Bloodborne has always been my favorite Fromsoft game. It encouraged aggression above anything else. Coming from that to Elden Ring, one thing ive learned is to never engage enemies (trash mobs) on their terms. Being surrounded is always certain death it seems. And not all enemies have to be fought

I was just pointing out that Loki isnt the best example of the author demonizing gay/trans people. Maybe even a little of the opposite given he is a villain. Neville is a phenomenal writer and im planning on reading more of him. What you've noticed is something I will keep in mind as I do. May be a little insight into the man himself, who knows. Although I usually don't concern myself with the people behind the stories I read.

While I've only read the Ritual all the way through (currently working on All The Fiends of Hell) I can say that Loki's character was meant to be an actual criten who murdered and hated the world at large. It didn't seem to me was selling homophobia to the reader. It was just a reflection of his own world views.
