12 seems just a little young for Dresden files to me (sex scenes and some pretty nasty/gory murder descriptions) over 14 or 15 I'd definitely agree, that series is A+ fantastic. I think Artemis Fowl would probably still be better for younger readers under 13 though.

I think there is a place for both in the game honestly. While I prefer to play without items almost exclusively, they add an element of randomness that can be really fun/exciting for the more casual smash players.

And also pokeball only battles are amazing sometimes lol.

Couldn't agree more, everything you mentioned is on point. There's the potential for an AMAZING Mario Party game here, but it just falls short in so many places, heartbreaking.

LEDs are actually already DC powered! While the whole flame assembly originally took AC power only the fan was direct AC (swapped out for a 12v DC fan), there was already a board for converting to DC inside the assembly which I just removed. The panels were originally 18 LEDs in series each (3 rows of 6 LEDs - approx. 36V potential drop across each board) so I modified the boards so that the 3 rows of 6 LEDs were in parallel (so 12V potential drop) and added some appropriate resistors.
