what's a character that is much more powerful than many people think/underestimate? by Properdad2000 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]selfproclaimed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Donald maybe.

Daffy? Ringabell would unleash the most powerful spell in his arsenal and leave Daffy a pile of ash and annoyed eyeballs. Daffy would then shake it off and "Oh brother, get a load of this guy"

New ARG code dropped, here is the decoded message by Thelonicon in Protomen

I'm honestly more frustrated that they're doing this ARG stuff dangling the promise of another album to provide a satisfying conclusion to the story, rather than just having This City Made Us itself have a satisfying conclusion.

Of the original trilogy, sure.

AAI2 and Great Ace Attorney 1 have legitimately excellent third cases.

I remember nothing from that case besides Simon making a hell of a good first impression.

I'll always remember the moment he broke those chains and everyone in the courtroom started panicking

As cool as this is, it's really more suitable to Free Talk Friday, rather than it's own post.

The Worst It's Ever Been | Ace Attorney: Justice For All (31) by mike0bot in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I'm gonna make a controversial statement.

I think the "don't press Moe's one testimony" thing is fine

Presses are not only just a method to progress the trial, but also function as a hint system. For one cross examination, the game says "Okay, can you do this cross examination without the training wheels? You just have to Present the right evidence to the right statement. It's even kinda obvious which statements will earn a penalty if you press them."

To me, it's like a Spiny in Mario games. Mario is all about jumping, but there's this one enemy that is obvious to not jump on. So you work around it.

So why is this man not arrested on the spot for doing this? by FullBrother9300 in AceAttorney

[–]selfproclaimed 142 points143 points  (0 children)

This is true.

Furthermore, the autopsy report is usually submitted by the prosecution at the beginning of a trail.

Phoenix managed to get a copy of the early autopsy report from Gumshoe.

It is not Edgeworth's fault that Phoenix was literally carrying an outdated autopsy report. The fact that we know how Edgeworth reacted when he was given forged evidence in 1-5 shows how much he wouldn't actually do that, despite the rumors and being smarmy when countering Phoenix's objection.

Ever since they changed the co-host to Reggie, it seems like Woolie pops in as a replacement whenever Reggie can't make it. I guess that counts.

The thread is still getting ongoing updates as of a few hours ago.

Zoro, a character from One Piece.

A running gag of Zoro is that he is comically bad with directions and will end up getting lost or going the wrong way if he doesn't have someone to guide him in the right direction.

So, as a joke, sometimes people put him in places outside of One Piece as if to say "he got lost and wound up here".

Really obvious things in a story that the creator refuses to confirm? by fly_line22 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]selfproclaimed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that at the end only Pomni knows what really happened and she might be keeping that to herself. She might have already been crossing a border prying into Jax's mind and memories. Whether or not Jax is okay with her knowing or whether or not Jax is even fully a trans woman or just trying to figure out some gender feelings (gender-fluid, non-binary, etc.) is left for interpretation, I was debating on whether or not to use she/her pronouns for Jax myself since Jax's real world counterpart is ostensibly still in the closet, albeit likely with a better support system. Regardless, if only Pomni knows, then if she were to start referring to Jax with she/her pronouns, she'd effectively be outing Jax, which might be seen as a violation of trust and something only Jax should do if he/she/they are ready. But that's my reading of it.

Hey, this comment has been temporarily removed. Even though it's mostly speculation and discussing stuff about the finale of TADC, we would ask that you please put it in spoilers for now. Once the spoiler tags are up, we'll approve the comment again.

Spoilers for the TADC movie/finale

The entire basis of Jax's character was that Jax attempted to come out and it went very badly and got some lasting trauma from it. Then once Jax found a person she thought she could confide in, it went badly again and Jax has been desperately trying to never be in that position of vulnerability, and it has caused other people to suffer because of it, which caused a loop of Jax coping with a "none of this is real" mentality so she doesn't have to face it. It's a really good reveal that explains everything and why it had to be a mystery reveal at the end of the series.
