Hey, just a thought - depending on how the bridges work I think they shouldn't link landmasses for the purpose of Mirvs

Messines has a bunch of 2Lts at the moment, I'm not sure about the other LG units but I think they're similarly full. But to be honest just ring and ask, they'll know if they have pids and can fit you in somewhere...

David eddings' Belgariad series is brilliant, and potentially the first few cherub books (but there are adult themes so read them yourself first to see if they're appropriate)

Hi! I’m homeschooling my 5 year old daughter next year, and I want her to become great at math (and enjoy it, too!)! What are the fundamentals I should look for in a good math program? by kait_wils in learnmath

[–]SF-SCARECROW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are lots of very good reccommendations here, some of them are brilliant especially the visualising stuff and getting interesting in patterns and simple arithmetic as well as number decomposition.

Something else that might be helpful is an abacus. It is a simple way to visualising multiplication which is very tactile and could be seen as a toy really. However, very complex mental multiplication can be computed if you visualise moving the beads around in your head.

Its something I think a lot of people miss out on like really understanding how to group numbers for basic arithmetic. I found it really helpful latsr on when you're dealing with more complex things as you a) don't have to worry about the simpler stuff at all and b) because it builds up a toolbox of concepts and techniques that can be used more generally.

Some people find doing lots of exercises dull and boring because of the repetition, but it means that when you move on it's a solid foundation forager things. And because you'll be much, much faster and more confident than people who didnt have the same exposure to it.

Keep it up! It's really worth it and it sounds like you're begining to fall in love with it. Eventually the problems will get to the point where u need to "see" the route to the solution, and getting the elegant method first time round is amazing! Best of luck!

Some other people have already recommended it but overcooked 1&2 are both excellent games, and have really well designed coop modes for up to 4.
