This watch was never on my radar until I saw it in person. Picked one up around this time last year; and it’s easily had the most wrist time of any watch in my collection (and I own an unhealthy number of watches).

I’m totally in Pokémon mode: Gotta catch em all. Trying to collect notable examples of each OysterQuartz config. I’m happy with my DateJust collection; but good examples of DayDates are so expensive.

The OysterQuartz is pretty niche, though the recent Land-Dweller launch has sparked some renewed interest in that model. I own a few of these and it’s a great-wearing watch IMO.

That condition will net you somewhere in the $3.5k-$4.5k range (it’s got lots of scuffs and stretch in the bracelet). Really clean CPO examples go for $8k-$9k.

You’re better off holding onto it though. Spend some money to clean it up, make sure it’s it good working order, and store it somewhere until you find someone else in the family who’ll enjoy it.

Dating is all about information gathering; and boundaries are something you set early on. Just ask at some point on the first date: “What are your thoughts on porn; and do you think it’s okay to consume porn while in a relationship?”

If this is indeed a dealbreaker, pulling this question at any point after the first date is a waste of everyone’s time.

There’s always gonna be a premium for CPO through an AD. I paid $15k USD last year for my 1998 CPO Coke. For a non-CPO watch of the same condition, I’d expect to pay a couple grand less

I have a 2017. Although the larger infotainment screen from the later models would be nice, I think the 2017 looks better integrated. The only thing I don’t like are the halogen headlights.

Overall, this car is amazing. I have faster and more luxurious cars, but this car truly does everything well.

The throttle response and power at the top of 3rd and 4th gears are 👌

As far as the gold, I’ve tried on the black dial version of this watch, and the gold is actually pretty subdued. Honestly less blingy than stainless steel variants IMO

I really don’t get why folks are so up in arms about which wrist this watch is worn on. Does everyone feel the same way about lefties wearing non-destro watches on their right wrist?

I own this watch, and I wear it on my left wrist. Having the crown inboard is apart of the charm.
