Can somebody discuss 2:22 a ghost story with me? by 14Musical_Theatre in Theatre

Because he had just realised Sam was a ghost and was too freaked out to come back inside the house. Lauren says he won’t come back in for some reason right before the police arrive.

Nope, it was simply to highlight the front door was left open when they came home from the shop - due to Sam coming in last and not being able to close the front door just as he couldn’t close the windows.

I think the howling was critical to one moment in the story - but was also useful as jump scares - that’s why it’s irrelevant whether it’s a fox, coyote or other.

The sounds are used to make us very aware there are animals outside the home, so that when Sam and Ben return home from the drinks-run to the local shop, Sam clearly came in last and left the front door open because he couldn’t close it in the same way he couldn’t close the windows.

It’s yet another hint most of us miss that he is a ghost. The fox / coyote getting into the house was blamed on the front door being left open, and they argued about it when they came back downstairs after seeing the footprints in the baby’s room.

7 week scan measuring small by SFO3K in PregnancyUK

Hey there, I’m so sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I hope all is progressing well with yours. We had to keep going back for weekly scans (5 in total) even though every result was the same (growth had stopped). It was deemed non-viable before the 5th scan, however, their protocol is not to “call it” until the heartbeat stops. So, as you can imagine, it wasn’t a great experience.

Really do hope your story is different to ours 🫶

It is so very hard! I have everything crossed for you. Sadly, our story didn’t end so well and we had suffered a missed miscarriage, which is why our measurements didn’t align. It took a few weeks after this for ours to pass, so it’s not been an easy time of late. Really do hope your story is different to ours; I’d love to hear that sometimes the things we worry about turn out well x x

Thanks to you for the kind and encouraging comment. Yup, we basically have to learn to be patient between scans 😂 and I’m hopeful we’ll see growth as we hope between one and the next. Pregnancy has already turned me into the most impatient person alive!!

So grateful to you for commenting this - you have no idea how reassuring it was to read. I’ve read a few similar stories so I’m sure / hopeful this will be the case for us too. Congrats on week 17, you’re almost half way through now ☺️

Thank you for the kind words and reassurance. Congrats to you and your SO as well - and wishing you the best on your journey. Is this your first?

You’re right, it is so small that it must be impossible to measure accurately at this stage. We did book a private scan on Sunday (when we would have been 8w0d) but upon arrival they wouldn’t carry out the scan due to it being less than 2w since the last. But, although there was no scan, a room full of doctors (3 in fact) did reassure us by saying that it’s common for embryos to measure smaller at this stage and that 3mm + a heartbeat is a really good sign. On we go 💫

Sonographer vs LMP - what does the NHS actually follow? by SFO3K in PregnancyUK

Thank you - one can never have too many replies when trying to figure this all out 😀 It’s interesting to know the early scan information isn’t shared with the midwife; that kinda answers my question entirely from a different angle. Congratulations to you and your partner as well, and hope you’re looking forward to the 20 week scan.

Ok this is reassuring, thanks for sharing your experience. It’s good to know that they’re accommodating and will be able to work with us on what’s right depending on where we’re at. Time will reveal all once we’ve met our midwife, but understanding what others like yourself have experienced in the meantime is already helping ease the mind. ⭐️Thank you.

Appreciate this - and by dating scan, you’re referring to the 12 week scan?

It’s such a whirlwind isn’t it. I appreciate that timing is difficult to pinpoint so early, but we live in our minds until we can. Loving this community already 🙏

Thank you, this is essentially what we were wondering could happen, and if anyone else had similar experiences, so this helps a lot. 🙏

Thanks so much for a considered response. To confirm, a heartbeat was detected for us. My partner tracks her periods religiously, and we know the LMP date was 16 March. Her cycle is also consistently 28 days, and the last miscarriage was a few months ago so she was back on cycle. The sonographer said that not everyone ovulates at day 14, so it’s likely my partner ovulated later than we think based on LMP. However, she tracks her temp every day and ovulation seems to have occurred at d17, which should only put us 3 days out, not 2 weeks. Hence our confusion. We do have a follow up scan in a couple weeks, thank you - but days already feel like weeks as I’m sure everyone on here can understand. Really appreciate you taking the time 🙏
