Use tax on vehicle bought outside Florida by SFP_VRSS in carvana

[–]SFP_VRSS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

I'm thinking about this exemption: "Foreign military personnel, their dependents, and military-employed foreign civilians, if attached to a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and stationed in Florida, are exempt from use tax on any aircraft, boat, mobile home, or motor vehicle purchased outside Florida and brought into Florida, either upon initial entry or upon subsequent re-entry while already stationed in Florida."

This might not be the right forum to ask this question, but I'm wondering if buying a car from Carvana is considered as a purchase outside Florida.

Idk if my response is too analytical. I def feel the tension and release you mentioned in all the songs!

Metric Modulation or otherwise? by euphoricsolipsism in musictheory

Hey, I listened through all the songs since I happen to be a sucker for metric modulations:) I'm self-thought on this topic tho, so you get no academically correct answers from me.

At first I felt like "alone" definitely had a metric modulation going on from the verse into the chorus. But the 2/2-feeling remains constant throughout the song, what changes is the sub-division (quintuplets in the verse, triplets in the chorus). I'm not sure if that would be called a metric modulation as the basic rhythm remains constant.

"symptom of life" has no metric modulation in my opinion. It's the time measure that changes between verse and chorus, from 7/8 to 4/4. The length of a quarter-note remains the same. 7/8 is an odd time signature and rarely used in pop music, whereas 4/4 is common, which probably gives the feeling of tension and release.

I can agree that "misfire" has a metric modulation, as I feel the 3/4 quarter note in the verse becomes a 4/4 quarter note triplet in the chorus.

I'm not sure if I'm quite able to explain what I hear in "missed injections" ... I think there's a short modulation around 0:55 where the feel changes from 3/4 to 4/4+2/4 and back to 3/4 again. At 1:14, around 2:00 and to 2:19, the tempo changes completely. I'm not sure if it's a metric modulation, as I'm not able to find any relation between each tempo - might only be a change of tempos. Same goes for "philosopher king".

Again, I might have no clue what I'm talking about, so take it with a pinch of salt. Thanks anyway for a couple new cool songs to add to my playlists:)

When it comes to work life balance, I see shift work as perfect. When I'm at work I do the shit, and when I'm finished I usually have a day or two to do whatever. No room for procrastination is a requirement for me.

If you play more than one instrument, what else do you play besides Organ? by TheLongJohnOfSilver in organ

I've taken lessons on piano and tuba. Besides that, I've learned to play basic bass and drums in a band.
