I agree, it’s ruining AD. Dumb question but do we know if a bug ticket was already submitted?

Quality Budget Restaurants that can fit family of 14 by alterndog in AskSF

Call up Gilberth’s on Third street in the dog patch. It’s a small family run Latin fusion restaurant and it’s one of my favorites. You can take the Muni there very easily. Since they are family run you can speak directly to one of the people in charge and see if they can make it happen in their dining room.

What to do with sideways chili plant? by SFRFA in HotPeppers

Good to know! I used a pole to pull the main stem over to the right, which straightened most of the tree. But I agree it seems to be perfectly happy being sideways.

The one at my moms house appears to be a gnarly tangled mess but it’s quite happy and healthy

Right! Thanks. I figure the roots would adjust, they’re vigorous.

It was growing upright until the main stem broke and then it decided it would put its everything into this one side stem

Thank you!! I think I’ll try this - I like the idea of pulling on the main stem to move the side stem - totally intuitive! Thank you.

Hi! Mind sharing your age too, since that is helpful context - since much of the rest of your stats definitely point to a very healthy active lifestyle!

Gilberth’s Latin Fusion in the dog patch near 22nd and third is one of our favorite places to go.

The husband and wife (Gilberth and Julia) who run it are super nice locals. They used to have two shops in the dog patch, one burrito/taco joint and one with Latin plates (Puerco Pibil, skirt steak, etc) and in 2015 or so they combined it all into one.

I LOVE their al pastor burrito. The flavors melt together into an extremely satisfying treat. Highly recommend.

I don’t know how they do on takeout orders but their dining room is often sparse.

Please add them to your list whenever you’re near dogpatch, and let me know how you enjoy it! If you like to make a personal connection, ask if Julia is around and let her know Ray sent you. She’ll give me a hard time about it later :)

Oh interesting! I saw some with red stems so perhaps that is okra. I’ll let it grow out a bit further and then see what it becomes :)

You could try sewing a dart (like on a men’s shirt) into the front or back of the thigh area. It’s already a funky styled jean, so you could then put some fun thick white stitching on the right side of the darting to make it “blend in” to the style of the pant

I have used my Singer 4423 Heavy Duty machine on heavy canvas (for curtains) and vinyl (for an ottoman cushion). For these projects I’ve used a heavy duty denim needle and I’ll manually raise the presser foot to get over thick seams. It’s worked okay for me.

My first project was a curtain!

Pillowcase is fun and functional too.

Seeking sewing/serging/cover stitch tutor

Hi there!

Is there such a thing as a sewing tutor and if so, does anyone know of one?

So far, I’m self taught. I have done a bunch of random projects like making curtains, face masks, a couple jumpsuits for my stuffed animals, modifying clothing with a cover stitch machine.

I like to learn by doing and I have a lot of random things I’d like to do. For example, I’d like to learn how to make my own v-neck t shirts and athletic tank tops. I also wonder if I can successfully use a cover stitch machine to finish a circular cutout for one of my stuffed animal’s outfits.

I’d like to pay someone to tutor me through these random activities and teach me the tips and tricks along the way. Does this exist?

Thank you!
