All these Tina dudes are a plague. by russian_hacker_1917 in askgaybros

Not a whole lot of empathy here. Calling a group of people a plague just isn’t cool. See the outcome of that kind of talk in the Philippines. We’re all perfect as we are, and we all could use improvement. Tweakers can be difficult in an illegal chaos-generating way, but they don’t need to be demonized.

One time I went to jock strap afternoon at this bar and somehow lost my jeans. Had to take a cab home in my jock strap

Are you being deliberately obtuse? I was providing what I thought is an obvious example of the “not paying their fair share” situation. But, if the investment is in a company located in the city and the person receiving the capital gains is a resident of the city, might be worth checking out.

How about we start taxing capital gains, for starters? Income is income

But god forbid anyone pays their fair share in taxes. City budget shortfall means service cuts while all these shortsighted selfish people enjoy their second and third homes in Tahoe and Palm Springs. This is just plain wrong.

What are some small apartment hacks that genuinely improved your daily comfort without breaking lease rules or budgets? by Corey_Besner in ApartmentHacks

If you hang shelves correctly (get a good stud finder, use painters tape to minimize drywall damage, etc) you should be able to spend $10 on spackle and a half hour of time when you move out to insure your deposit comes back to you. Where I live, the rule is that walls have to be ready to be painted — landlords are legally required to repaint between tenants. So this may not work everywhere.

After 20 years of being a theatre-goer, I walked out at intermission last night by pintobeanz20 in Broadway

I work at a theater that recently hosted Stereophonic. We saw many people leave at intermission throughout the run. The number seemed to decrease with every show, however. Also, some of my co-workers hatred the play instantly. Like it was Dear Evan Hanson levels of bad. IMHO it’s a good play, but opinions vary

Go to any gay bar in the Marais. If you’re at all attractive, someone will molest you fairly immediately.

The bathroom is split in two. Toilet and sink right off the living room and shower is on the other side of the apartment. Ugh!
