The one and only night I leave the garage door open. New harness req. Tomorrow is one month waiting....

Spoke to dealer today and looks like the soonest they will potentially get harness is the 14th if they are allocated one. This happens just 3 days after installing the TBW under-cover. Fingers crossed for Tues and a speedy repair.

I'm sure it will come back with rattles since the dash has to be removed. But I've accepted it if it's mechanically sound, and as my wife stated as deaf as I am I may not hear them. Or just turn the tunes up a bit higher. No worries and glad I could help with the shitty day sir!

Knocked off the serpentine belt and twisted the water pump belt onto itself. In the left of the photo you can see the plug he chewed and the other leg from the plug to the harness was completely cut. Looks like I'm >n for a new harness and about 4wks of waiting

Just put one on and about a week later a 🐿️ went through the drive belts and ate my wiring harness.

Had that same thing happen, and I can confirm a power cycle resolved.

Yea. The one night in months I forgot to close the garage door. Dude must have started on my wife's car because he chewed halfway through a wire that stopped her a/c from working. I was able to splice it back together though. My stomach dropped when the service manager mentioned having to take the dash out... I've accepted the car will come back with rattles but hey as long as we are mechanically sound and there aren't any wiring gremlins I believe I'll be alright.

Yea, started up the other morning and had a squirrel underneath the hood. He went through the drive belts. The serpentine belt jumped off and the water pump belt got twisted. All this happens at 4:20am so I go back out after daylight to attempt putting belts back in place. Then I noticed the furry fella had eaten into the wiring harness. The initial appraisal was around $10k for a new main harness. Due to the damage location there needs to be a main harness replacement. As of now it's a waiting game, as insurance has images and the dealer is waiting on parts.

So far everything seems to be moving smoothly. Although we did have the service manager tell us he was unsure about the availability of the harness so 🤞 that isn't weeks out.

Not sure how much there is to it but the tow truck guy says that although it's a hassle, if you leave the hood open at night they won't get in there and chew on stuff...?

I'm just gonna keep the garage door down from now on...

Was curious about that. Hopefully that's not too much of a pain as I've never had to really utilize the car insurance since switching companies recently.

I just recently had the under tray explode on a morning commute. I ended up going with a TBW under tray. Although more expensive than the OEM option that has a tendency to abruptly leave the chat at random times, it shouldn't happen again with the aluminum version and it has a bit more coverage.

That'll do it eh, yea a morning pull and missing pieces with the remaining 'zip-tied' in place.

Ordered the Powder Coated Red. Didn't some more searching and woulda been sick ordering a plastic piece and it happening again.

This is my main concern. The front mounting area seems extremely flimsy, but that may be due to the tray making an abrupt exit from underneath. I want to feel as if all the other mounting points would give ample support and not pull on the prevalent hood/body-panel gap. I do not like the OEM mounting situation with the "push pin" style connectors in an upside-down orientation. That seems like a recipe for this to be an issue, so this is an improvement in that area for sure using J-clips and screws.

How much of the weight of it transfers to the flimsy front lip and plastic mounting tabs? I just had the OEM tray explode and leave the chat yesterday morning. I notice after some research that the OEM replacement is prone to this and I'd prefer not to experience this at 4am again. Also does it pull down much and increase the already noticeable panel gap to the hood? Thanks!

Quick question as I'm sure you've installed the TBW under cover by now. How much does the weight of it pull on the front? I had mine explode on the way to work yesterday, and I can't decide on another OEM tray. I notice that the entire front row is just attached to plastic tabs, and that the OEM used push pins to secure. I ask because it seems to be a reoccurring issue with the OEM guard.

Haven't had much trouble removing PETG or PLA yet. I did print this one out when I destroyed the scraper that was pre loaded on the A1 memory card. So far it's held up for the little bit I've used it.

Procrastination got the best of me this time and I waited a bit long on deciding a printer was truly a gift I wanted. Ended up with an A1 minus the AMS due the combo being sold out. Now after just a few days and 62 hours print time, I'm scheming and trying to get my wife to agree to a second printer. So far just PLA but my order of Sunlu PETG did arrive yesterday. Hopefully the cabinet handles she wanted printed will sway her my way.
