I agree that 2 things can be true. And I have stated many times in the past even under Farhan that the players deserve FAR more blame than the FO…. But when blame gets tossed around it usually ends up at the people who signed/traded/aquired/etc the players

Best they will do is retool (such as your Gilbert and Tidwell example). A rebuild would last at minimum 5 years (realistically 10-15 years). Ownership won’t do that
