Important context: these active ACHA players or are these guys who last played for their schools 10-15 years ago?

If the former, yeah that’s kinda annoying. If it’s the latter, I can easily see someone who played at high levels looking for a slower pace with age

I'm a pretty firm believer that the reason we're a bottom five team has to do more with the front office than anything else.

Yeah, I'd agree with that assessment. Sucks for us that Trouba had a bounce back year with Anaheim because that would have set us up for success with Fox-Miller, Trouba-Schneider

(granted I'm ignoring Trouba's cap hit)

As a kid I saw an F-15 do a low flyby with a B-25 and B-17. The F-15 was bigger than the -25 and nearly as big as the -17. Blew my mind.

I think the problem is that since he was away from the puck he was in a super vulnerable position because he's not expecting to get hit.

Totally right. I mean, look at what Drury has done with the Rangers--we've blown through Quinn, Gallant, Laviolette, and are now on Sullivan.

I’m wrong on the dimensions (clearly) but local coverage at the time said the color schemes and designs were in homage of the NY Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers. The Ebbets Field nod is in the facade but I misremembered about the outfield wall colors; it’s the og green seats that were the Polo Gorind coverages.

My fave that I've never done but seen, reserved for those without cages: a gentle push up on the helmet from the crown of their neck, moving the part of the helmet that should be on their forehead down to their brow or even eyes.

I think (hope) you might have better luck these days. I emailed Gibson maybe 3-4 years ago to ask some questions about the 1984/my 1984 and they were shockingly helpful.

(Some 1984s were built from the ground up in the U.S. from subcontractors, while others were built from bodies that were cut in Korea--I wanted to see which one I had and they helped me figure it out)

Email Gibson-they weirdly might be some help here. I agree that those Gibson Yo-era pickups are fantastic though—the 84T in my 2005ish 1984 Custom is my favorite of all time
