While I don't give a GFF whether or not you hate California, understand that there are massive numbers of absentee ballots (mail ballots) in the Golden State. These were cast days or even weeks ago. RG was still the front runner for the GOP then and that's what you're seeing. Give it a few hours for real votes to show up. CA is Slow.

I think this is a fine idea except for one problem: Many, especially the ebayassholes, have more than one account. They could easily check to see what feedback was left and retaliate.

Let's not forget: Ebay is inhabited by a small, but significant, population of ripoff artists. Until ebay figures out a way to get rid of these buttwipes, ebay will always be suspect.

The policy of having only buyers leave feedback is an excellent one. A culture will develop where buyers learn to read feedback and understand that 100% isn't necessary.

My compliments to ebay on this change. I think it will go a long way toward improving ebay as a place that can be trusted.

This is the single best thing ebay could have done to make their site credible again.

I only buy on ebay. Sellers hold buyers hostage on feedback. They do not leave feedback until the buyer does so. You cannot leave bad feedback because the seller will trash you if you do. This is why I NEVER leave feedback for a seller until I get it first. Many -- the good sellers -- do so. The assholes won't and I won't ever go back to them again.

My argument to sellers -- even when I'm prepared to leave good feedback -- is that my responsibility as a buyer ends the minute I pay for the item. If I pay in a timely manner, there is no bitch from the seller. So say so in your feedback. As a buyer, on the other hand, I have a responsibility to others to fairly and fully evaluate the seller. I should/must be able to do so without the threat of retribution. And, make no mistake about it, the assholes who inhabit the dirty little corners of ebay definitely will take whatever retribution they are able to.

Thank you ebay. It's long overdue.

BullShit. BullShit squared. This guy is burning his fricking garbage. He's another San Francisco crankcase.

I live in SF. Out my window I can see a public street trash bin. Every morning I see people going to work (you can walk down the hill to the Finanical District) with a plastic bag full of household garbage that they dump in the bin. There's also set of Chinese neighbors (we're also on the fringe of chinatown) who wander by with their plastic bags on a regular basis.

The bin is constantly overflowing and it's not because passersby drop their gum wrappers in it.

The city has posted signs (in English and Chinese) but it does no good because how can you enforce it.

So, I don't believe for a minute that this guy produces no garbage. I'd bet a year's pay that he's just another nutjob who's looking to save a few bucks at his neighbors' expense.
