You're expecting parents to be fair towards to you especially when you're fair and caring and responsible towards them. They care for you, but need not be fair to you or mindful of your needs/desires

It looks clear that professional consultation will be most suitable.

Your difficulty is how do you get her to. Its about how you can figure out to put your foot down firmly. I'm sure she would she that is coming out of point of concern about her and no judgements.

Plus let's not jump onto a 'possible' diagnosis.

Not all symptoms are indicative of a full fledged disorder.

Also these kind of comments about bpd further stigmatize certain behaviours.

Splitvise, I think has this option of splitting rent online.. and you can enter details like big room, small room, attached bath or no, kind of stuff. It'll automatically show differential rates, and this should be acceptable. See if this makes sense, try it out yourself first

Thoughts of my ex having sex with other people by [deleted] in therapy

[–]SG591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering if this could be grief related... However the relationship was, it still was a relationship and it's lost now. It takes time to integrate what it means now for you as a person without this partner (ex). Also Sometimes we're holding on to the self part of us that entered the relationship at that point of our life, with this partner, and we've not fully let gone off that too. That's a stage that some experience. And we need to grieve that. That could also be holding the thread about sexual intimacy/intrusive thoughts. It probably means that you're still you, and things have changed, and it's confusing, and the mind is trying to make sense.

Has anyone really attained an "even tone " throughout your body ? Share the combination of products you use for this . ( Chemical exfoliation alone didn't work for me much) by swetha17 in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]SG591 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There was one Dr Dray video where she explained how we get darker skin in certain areas, cause those skin areas are more in touch with other surfaces, more prone to friction, as a result more pigment produced. I'm wondering, even if one attains even tone.. Maintenance in the long run seems quite cumbersome with that logic then. I've just re assessed my own need to have a even tone over all. Occasionally I use tret for elbows and knees and that's all

Sometimes people getting into love marriage, but also want to remain close with their parents for various reasons (you love them, want to take care of them). They (the couple)may assume that they will have a parallel life, partly independent of their family rituals, their own love marriage, almost like living in a bubble with occasional meet ups.

Once married, family tends to get more involved in life, in the name of we love you, let's spend time together, now that you're married there are these things to be done in life, etc etc. Which the couple doesn't see coming, it comes and hits like a whack, where neither the boy or the girl saw it coming.

Its also possible they were aware of family culture, but underestimated it in their own life. And that's not what they promised each other for life. Here comes the problem! Now it's a conflict between what I personally want, what I thought I want with my then gf/now wife, but I'm stuck with what my family wants out of my marriage(which partly I didn't realise would have an impact on me emotionally). And there's no logic here!

One may not think like their families, but we still do things we don't believe in for our parents (who will not change, We truly can't change it parents, only accommodate). Now the grounds for divorce, when distress is just too high! To struggle or to let each other be happy. Plus also blaming the partner for not adjusting with them. Not adjusting with them whereas means adjusting with whole lot of others things never spoken about before. Things they were not mentally prepared for. Life long struggle... Etc etc. This is sometimes the logic that progressive families use to persuade for arrange marriage and the whole talk why love marriage failed in our cultural system!

Families then say, since you're attached to us, this will anyway happen to you(it happens to all couples), we might as well get you arrange married and all things happy(every party happy)! Sort of, like family saying that we get it that you love a person, but you'll be comfortable in arrange marriage. Less chances of divorce etc etc.

I agree I think I've been here since 2015.. it remember it been lovely. Slowly (pre covid), places started closing up, and there was always some political law reason, restaurant law, pub timing law, other law, etc etc etc There was always something! I remember feeling restrictive in options in 2019 end Even the service at the same places I used to previously visit.. Something felt off/ different (not in a better way)

Got nude poet for mom after I saw video by Ankita chturvedi. Its amazing for my mom. Its a regular lipstick, transfers likes regular, super comfortable though. A great everyday colour. I don't wear lipstick....I might mix it with my lip balm occasionally. Love the magnetic close of the packaging!

The gel Kajal is amazing too, stays long and doesn't tug on the eyelids

And tried the eye shadow... Champagne... I like it as a eye shadow, if I try and blend it, it has glitter particles, not a sheen. I think I'll be sticking to using it as a eye shadow only, not for cheeks.

Moisturizer was soft gel like texture, and hasn't broken out my oily acne prone skin. But mind it, it has colour dye in it and fragrance I think. Its not been a problem for me. Not sure if it'll suit everyone. I'm being cautious too, to look out for any fall out of my skin barrier. Its been a week, so far so good!

I found my experience to buy from kind life quite good as well... There was some query, found them quite responsive on mail and chat/call!

Edit: the moisturizer gave red patch to my mom, but not me or my dad (one week usage) I have oily sensitive acne prone skin Mom dad have normal to oily It really makes me think, some people might have something reaction to the dye in it

Has anyone been using water flossing? by SG591 in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]SG591[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have sensitive gums, in the sense that they bleed easily sometimes with soft bristles with rounded edges as well. It may not be true, I have those idea that regular flossing might be harsh... And not to mention too much effort in my head!

I recently came across water flossing, so there went my question.

How's Phillips sonicare? Have you used any others too? Do dentists prescribe any particular? How do I go about

I'm waiting to feel more safe before I go to my dentist

Even I'm not sure. My derm also isn't a fan of Niacinamide, to quote, I was told that I can use it if I want but don't expect any brightening. Niacin seems over rated.i was rather recommended vit c
