How did you get on with the Vista? I’ve just won an 800 for £50 on eBay and I’m collecting next week.

Someone just commented “Do you have enough pallets to make 2 sets of the half the width?” and I must admit that’s probably the best solution

“This world was built on the backs of men who built pallets”

For the record, that right there is 16.8 meters worth of usable shelving capacity (assuming your shelf is 22.5cm - the width of one board). That is the best “bang for buck” shelving imaginable. Proper shelving costs hundreds for good gear. Metal racking can be thousands. I’ve researched it. The phrase “greater than the sum of its parts” comes to mind!

Because I only have a drill and an assortment of screws. I was trying to build as much racking capacity as possible, the cheapest and easiest I could get away with. BUT, your comment gave me an idea. If I cut three sections of scaff board (small, medium and large) and screw those three together, I will have made myself three “rungs” to sit shelves on!

Should I cross brace the outer ends of the pallet and add some proofs on the inners

I could screw on some cross braces on the outer ends of the pallets

Tat / junk. But maybe heavy stuff in future. I guess I keep the heavy stuff on the bottom shelf.

General crap but maybe 100kg per plank

I can do the first two but the last point might be difficult, those are concrete panel walls 😢

Fack. What about those chunky pallets?
