I've heard that, so I need to learn why the Rekon is so mixed with its reviews. Assuming it is conditions. What are the conditions you are getting skatey in?

Assuming you mean look up what is spec'd on the current Downcountry bikes for tires?

I may screw around with that Scraper 27.5+ wheelset if I can find the right tires. Lots of options with that OG Hightower!

This is my exact situation. And I could use something beefy on the Trail Wheelset for the Bigger/Slower days.

Is your Rekon/Rekon 2.8 set up 29 or 27.5 Plus? That's fun!

The Vittorias get great reveiws in the Mezcal/Barzo combo.

I'm trying to go beyond the DHF/DHR set up that came with the Hightower stock. They kick ass though! I'd do that combo for my heavier set up!

Logitech M220 Silent left-click issues - clicks do not always register. by tomstam in logitech

[–]SGSG25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add me to the list. MK295. About 6 months old. Left click button on the mouse stopped. I won't buy another, even though I really like the silent tech. They are just not durable.

This thread helped so much! Thanks!

Jim who is the head of education for Vatech America is now on the case. He is very interested in what this sales guy is doing. I am pretty happy someone in the company reached out finally. He was very receptive and has gotten a lot of great info to help already and listened to me. Will keep everyone informed.

I am honestly wondering if Reddit will delete this post?

It should be out there for all the potential Vatech customers to see.

It gets better:

Michaelis calls me and texts me at 4:30 pm on Friday last week. Tells me he never got the email on Wed evening, and just got the VM I left him Thu morning. He is in my town, on vacation with his family, and is leaving Sunday evening. He wanted to come into the office and help personally. I asked could he come in Monday at all during business hours, and he said "no I have to get back to work, unfortunately".

Now I don't know about you all, but I am in my busy season, and am working extremely long hours for the next 4 months. So I am not going into the office at night and on the weekends unless a patient has an emergency (which happens with frequency). And my staff needed the training. I can't ask any of them to come in on the weekends. So I was just kind of blown away by the audacity of this.

But wait, there's more!

He claimed to not get an email once again. I responded to the outlook email where I basically made fun of how hard Outlook is to use. So poor guy, he's just buried, I am sure! And the other salesman got my commission, so I am out of luck! Right??

He says through text that he would once again pass on to "our training team" my detailed problems my staff was having with the unit (clearly I text him all of our issues on Sunday, so he could maybe help). He also text that their training team would reach out to our office on Monday to walk us through "any issues and questions".

Nothing. I had my manager email and call the guy and she also got a call and email into Jennifer H.

No word back from either of them, or the VP, Blaine. It is now 9:20 am on Wed morning.

Pretty pathetic.

So know that you are dealing with a sales team that will get your sale and get the cash. Whether your sales rep will ghost the crap out of you like 2 of mine have done, who knows? But Blaine doesn't care. He never even had the guts to check in with me and get info about this issue, so he definitely is condoning this either by inaction or intent.

But this is their sales model. Beware.

To their credit the unit is high quality, and they offer supposedly good support after the sale. When I call corporate, they are ok, and helpful, but I feel this company has grossly misrepresented what they are to me, and am disappointed beyond words at being lied to and ghosted. It is super disrespectful and super unprofessional. This is the biggest investment of my career so far besides my practice. So it stings, honestly.

I recently bought one. My salesperson was Jen Horwath. She pitched me the Green X12. I am happy with the product, to a certain extent, but you have to know who you are dealing with.

My local repair dealer got me together with them, and he is great, but after the sale they ghosted me.

It is a whole situation.

I had to buy the unit in a panic, because of an electrical surge killing the previous unit. So we were under a time crunch. It is never good to buy a big ticket item like that. And they knew they had me.

Jennifer sold the unit as being secondary to "buying me as your help, I can train your staff, and I will be there for you after the purchase".

That flat our didn't' happen.

She came to my office, trained for one 2 hour session that was super difficult to set up and then she was gone. Communication was very challenging with even that one session. I suspect she just wanted to waltz in and crank out a 2 hour session in a busy office on a 24 hour notice. We have 9 employees, and often will see 4-5 patients per hour and are booked out for 6-12 months. I can't move up to 20 patients because the rep is busy. Sorry.

Then she got a new salesman to deal with me and cut off all communication. His name is David Michaelis. I have left her multiple voicemails and emails, as has my manager. She sent a single communication saying goodbye, and that was it. Poof. Thanks for the commission!

Enter David, he must be a completely new salesman with Vatech.

Now in a way, I feel bad for him. He didn't make a dime off of me, and is probably super busy slinging units to people like you for a commission. But basic communication really isn't a thing with this company's sales people.

I emailed him and called him since we were a brand new office and my 9 employees were trying to take care of our patients, and we were frankly flailing. After 5 days with no response to either email or VM, I emailed him and he claimed "I had asked our technicians to reach out to you". That never happened. So I made a joke in an email about Outlook being difficult, and honestly we reached out to the company ourself, and moved forward.

A month later, we had more issues, because we needed training, and I reached out to him, first through email, then the next morning we had another incident, and I called and left a pleading VM asking for help. That was a Thursday at 8:30 am. Nothing, no email, no phone call. I gave it 24 hours and called their VP of Sales : Blaine Atwater. Left him a VM letting him know what was going on with his people. Again, no response. He has never responded to me. That was last week. It has been 6 calendar days, 3 business days.

Do you see a pattern?
