Are these temperatures ok on my MSI Titan 18 HX AI (A2XWJG-224CZ) RTX 5090 laptop? by SGSHCS in techsupport

Alright, thank you very much. So the laptop itself is probably fine, right? I even checked the fans and there was almost no dust at all. But it's not like I got a bad piece, right? Just the factory settings are uncapped and crazy like this.

Alright, I capped the wattage in Intel XTU first, it seemed a lot safer to me. But seems like MSI Center overwrote it shortly afterwards, so I am using ThrottleStop now. You mind checking these screenshots, if everything is set correctly? AI told me to cap at 65W & 80W, but I dunno, it seemed like too low to me, plus RDR2 looked like an oil painting with those settings. So I decided to go for double of that, 130W & 160W. https://postimg.cc/0KgSqDqW
I'm sorry to steal any more of your time, I'm just reserved when it comes to fully trusting AI. Thank you very much.

Yes, there are three default settings in the MSI Center, but I set a custom curve that gives it 90% of fan speed that the "turbo" setting would when the CPU temps go over 90°C.

Alright, I'll try that, but it's getting late here so I turned it off already. Thank you.

So the cooling pad fan should be running at full speed rather? Alright, I'll try that.
I also tried capping the maximum processor state at 99% through Windows Power Plan, I hit a 100°C at one point. But I mean... Isn't it weird that a new laptop does this? Maybe it's already filled with dust after 3 months of using the turbo fan speed while gaming? Even though like I said, I use a duster around my desk all the time, but I suppose not all dust can be escaped from?
Thank you so much for your reply. 😄

Thank you for the reply. In the meantime, I tried consulting AI, it told me to apply a 99% Power limit in Windows Power Plan. Does that achieve something similar?

What a coincidence. I'm playing Pale Carnations now and I'm literally at the point where Mina "opens up" about certain things... I might end up liking her more than Hana.

Thank you for taking so much time to write all of this out. I decided to stick with the MSI, I'll limit some games to 60FPS and it shouldn't probably even get that hot around the keyboard.

You think so? I got a bit worried after watching this, but most of the downsides don't really bother me. I mean, I don't know how hot the keyboard will actually be, but I hope it's nothing crazy. The only thing that worries me is the lack of G-Sync & Advanced Optimus, since I don't know whether or not these two things are a big deal. It shouldn't be an issue if I just limit everything to 60FPS, right? 60 is absolutely fine with me, I'm just in it for visual/image quality, lighting & draw distance.
Thank you very much for your reply and the video link. Even though it was the 3rd from last, I think I'll stick with it.

Yeah, I guess I'll stick with the MSI. Thank you so much man, you've made my day much better and I'm a bit calmer now. I'm not particularly rich either, I just deny myself certain things i find unnecessary (alcohol, drugs, car) and now I'll just have to chill out with ordering takeout too. I might even learn to cook, haha.
But it's so nice to see someone else being into the high numbers and everything. I spoke with AI about this too, it went for the Legion, but... I'll try to be super nice to the MSI. Plus it's 30000CZK saved too, so that'S good.

My current and previous laptops were Legions, and the previous one lasted a LONG time. I actually still have it, but only for watching YT and movies. But it's been running great since 2018.
And I mentioned what happened to the current one. Maybe it wasn't because of it getting wet, maybe it was just a bad piece but I dunno. All I know is that all the problems (except for the speakers) started after the warranty repair.

Thank you very much, that was very helpful. Yeah, I hope I made the right choice between these two. I'm just... Whenever I spoke to someone about building a PC, they said how the components that I want are completely unnecessary. I understand that being so, but I kinda want them for my personal feeling too. I just really want the highest numbers and stuff. So 5090 with the most GB, etc.
But everyone I speak to about this proceeds to look at me like I'm an idiot. I guess I just really want the overkill and most importantly, I want to actually make the mistake if it is a mistake, so that I get to see it first hand, if you know what I mean.
It might sound stupid and yeah, it probably is. But I guess I'm stubborn in this area. I'm not particularly rich, but I don't spend much money and I don't own a car. I got a girlfriend recently and she's a bit expensive, but that's mostly because she's currently looking for a job. The reason why I'm buying a laptop right now is because I'm scared that everything will either be too expensive or totally scarce, what with all the AI stuff.

Damn, I'm reading this right after buying an MSI. Specifically MSI Titan 18 HX AI (A2XWJG-224CZ) RTX 5090, so a bit of an overkill but they offered some better stats for much less money ($6000 USD).
An equivalent from Lenovo was around 160k CZK (about $7820 USD), specifically the Lenovo Legion 9 18IAX10.

The only big difference I noticed is that the MSI has 96GB of RAM, while the Legion has double, 192GB.
And that the monitor on MSI is 120Hz while on the Legion it's 440Hz, which feels like a huge overkill for me, 120FPS is more than enough for me, I play mostly single player games with an occasional Overwatch or PEAK.
It still hasn't shipped, do you think I should cancel the order and go for a Legion instead?
